Lao He is making shoe sole material in Putian. The two trays of T-blend TPR pellets in the warehouse have been sitting on pallets for almost half a year. A foreign trade client cut an order, and the inventory suddenly increased by six or seven tons. The bag surface is a bit damp, the pellet color is dull, and the warehouse manager checks the ledger to find that the material is based on transparent sole color schemes, so its versatility is limited. Lao He squatted at the workshop entrance to do the accounts: TPR has been left out for too long, and the finished sole gets white after just one discount—just like new shoes that peel off after just three days, and the customer returns them immediately.

Obsolete material isn't an asset—it's a liability lying on the books.

TPR this stuff, the boss who makes shoe soles, toy figurines, and daily necessities deals with it every day. It's a soft rubber blended with SBS/SEBS, with Shore hardness ranging from 20A to 80A, and all kinds of formulas. The problem is it's afraid of precipitation and moisture absorption. Once the packaging breaks, the processing oil slowly leaks to the surface, making the shoe sole sticky; If the hardness or color is wrong, the client's mold can't hold it. What's even more troublesome is that TPR is basically customized to customer colors. Your batch is transparent red, while other factories want black 80A, which is basically useless. Dealers collect materials regardless of hardness or color, treating each ton as a ton. TPR is stored like frozen lard—there's a layer of oil on the surface, and you can't break the cleanliness.

The essence of recycling isn't selling waste, but turning dead money into living money.

Let me tell a real story. A boss called in a wholesaler, who pinched a TPR tablet and rubbed it, said it was oily or not hard, and charged at floor price. The wholesaler's calculations were even more precise than your accountant's—he took them back and mixed them into street toys, added a bit of oil when softness wasn't enough, and the figurines deformed after a couple of pinchings, pocketing the difference. Think about it, what he said wasn't useful—not because he really had no clients, but because he didn't have proper shoe materials or toy factories himself. Some vendors were even more ruthless, not even distinguishing colors, mixing transparent and black into one truck.

The wholesaler isn't helping you deal with scrap; they're using your good materials to make up for their subpar goods.

Kelong New Materials is taking the path of terminal digestion. We have long-term downstream clients in footwear materials, toys, and daily necessities. For high-circulation grades like T-blend SNR-004 and Kanplon, we buy them that match the customer's formula and ship directly without inventory pressure. If we encounter batches that are slightly off, we can digest them into our own modified formula system, regardless of hardness or color. Pricing is based on Shaw hardness, tensile strength, and whether there is separation, with one price per grade, clearly stated on the recycling form. With our own production capacity and customer backing, our quotes are stable and don't fluctuate wildly with market trends.

Good materials aren't afraid of being bought by others; what they fear is selling good materials as scrap.

On the day of the on-site appraisal, our technician brought a Shaw hardness tester, pinched and rubbed on site to check for oiliness, and recorded the color and hardness together. You watch the weighing, and the gross and net weights match. TPR precipitation is a big issue; we pick out the heavily oily particles separately and don't mix them with clean pellets to negotiate prices.

A different approach is more cost-effective—swapping recycled material for new material. Five-step process: First, report the material, take photos, and provide the grade or hardness, tonnage, and city; We go to the site for grading and assessment, and quote on the spot after testing; On-site weighing and receiving the goods; Recycling payment is directly deducted from your purchase of new material from Cologne; Finally, settlement and invoice issuance. An old customer specializing in daily necessities had about 6 tons of TPR obsolete material stored in the warehouse. By grading, they offset nearly half of the new material payment, saving about 20,000 yuan in cash flow. The newly brought back product was the full range of QUANICE elastomers, which were directly placed on the production line to renew orders.

To put it bluntly, waste isn't something you can't accept; it depends on how you handle it.

As for specific grades, we regularly recycle mainstream TPR grades such as Taiwan Rubber T-blend SNR-004, T-blend SNS-002, Keteng G series, Baling YH series, Shenzhen Zhongsu King Kanplon, and Dawn TPR; Other customized grades are subject to physical appraisal. Recyclable forms include stagnant original pack material (whole or loose packs), shoe sole sprue material, toy figurine gate material, extrusion gate material, pelletizer head material, and inventory tail material. Pellets that release oil should be bagged separately and not mixed with new pellets.

To be honest, TPR precipitation happens gradually. If you can't see the difference today, after three months the pellets will have a layer of oil on the surface, and if you want to sell again, they'll really become street stall material. While the current feel is still clean, find someone with footwear and daily necessities terminals to pick it up and take it away—better than dragging it to the end.

Say a few words to avoid pitfalls. Is recycling just selling cheap? The truth is selling by hardness and grade; good materials can be sold at good prices. No one wants custom colors? The truth is finding the right end customers—modification factories and daily necessities factories are both looking for sources. Whoever bids higher sells whom? The truth is that when you get it, you bargain, weigh it down, and delay payment—prices are even worse than the three companies
