Old Song makes wear-resistant structural parts in Ningbo. A batch of PC/PTFE self-lubricating alloy material was pressed in the silo because the customer changed the material system. This material was chosen for the low friction of the bearing bushings, and you can see white PTFE dispersion in the pellets, which feels rough to the touch. The new system switched to PC with silicone oil, and these five tons of PC/PTFE instantly turned from "special material" to "material nobody wants." The warehouse manager asked if he wanted to sell it as regular PC, and Old Song shook his head: "With PTFE added, ordinary PC is losing money." "

PC/PTFE self-lubricating alloys, when they stagnate, are afraid of being sold cheaply as ordinary PC."

PTFE is mixed into the material, and its value lies in that white layer; the invisible parts are where the value lies. Why is

PC/PTFE hard to handle? It combines the strength of PC with the self-lubricating of PTFE, specifically for bushings, sliders, seals, and other parts that need to be both hard and slippery. But the PTFE part is scattered inside the PC, so to the naked eye it looks like a bag of white pellets. Ordinary recyclers have no idea how much PTFE is in this bag. It's like sesame glutinous rice balls—you only know there's sesame inside when you bite into it, and just by looking at the skin, you think it's ordinary glutinous rice balls. Ordinary recyclers get it and can't tell if it's regular PC or PTFE alloy, so they just press on regular PC and slash you down, and your little money on PTFE is eaten up.

Self-lubricating material isn't about being used, but about being sold as unlubricated ordinary material.

Now, let's talk about the waste collectors. You make a round call, and when they hear about PC/PTFE, they pretend to understand and say, "We'll buy this," but after quoting the price, you immediately hear it's the price of ordinary PC. You've already memorized the tricks of wholesalers: they don't expose it over the phone, don't ask about PTFE content when they visit, and just calculate as regular PC—they know deep down that you might not even know how much PTFE you added. Some things are even more ruthless: after you sell to them, they refill it yourself and sell it as self-lubricating material, making a profit in the middle. To put it bluntly, they're not actually buying goods; they're just making money off your lack of expertise.

You think you're selling alloy materials, but you're actually giving PTFE to others.

Cologne New Materials does end-use digestion recycling, and we can handle self-lubricating alloys like PC/PTFE. We have customers who have long been making bushings, sliders, and seals using these materials. Popular batches can be delivered the same day without inventory pressure. If the PTFE ratio is unclear, mixed batches, or stored for a long time, we bring them back to the factory for friction coefficient testing, classify them by self-lubricating performance, and use our own modified formulas to digest them according to proportion, regardless of brand or batch. Pricing is based on measured PTFE content, friction performance, and appearance grading, with clear pricing—not just a one-size-fits-all standard PC package. We have our own production capacity and fixed customers as a backup, with stable quotations that don't fluctuate with market trends.

The price of self-lubricating materials depends on the friction coefficient, not on feel.

Five-step cooperation process: material reporting, grading and evaluation, on-site pickup, deduction of payment, settlement and invoicing. You can print the material bags, their quantity, whitening level, and purpose, and we'll quote based on the actual product grade. Once we reach an agreement, we come to the door to pick up the goods. The recycled amount can be directly used to offset your subsequent purchase of new materials—for engineering plastics, we have our own KONICE modified plastic series. For the five tons of PC/PTFE from Ningbo Laosong, after we brought them back to the factory to measure the friction coefficient, we discounted them to a fair price based on self-lubricating material, which directly offset about half of the cost of KONICE modified material for the second half of the year, so they didn't lose out on regular PC.

Sell the undervalued self-lubricating material at its fair price.

We have received quite a few recyclable PC/PTFE grades. Mainstream grades for wear-resistant, low-friction industrial parts like Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics' Iupilon LSH2030 and SABIC LNP Lubricomp series are our regular pickups; Other brands and other PC/PTFE with PTFE content are also welcome to submit materials, subject to physical appraisal. Recyclable forms include obsolete original packaging (whole or bulk packages are acceptable), sprue and gate materials, bushing scraps and machine head materials, seal scrap and defective products, as well as inventory scraps at the end of the project. Clearly labeled and with single composition, all can be negotiated.

Three pitfalls to avoid. "Is the price of PC with added PTFE the same as regular PC?" The truth is PTFE is a premium point; reckless sales only cause losses. "Just pick any scrap collector?" The truth is, dealers who don't measure friction coefficient will only offer you regular PC prices. "Should we just leave it and use it slowly?" The truth is, after absorbing moisture, self-lubrication performance also decreases.

Compliance: Proper recycling and disposal, complete weighing and recycling forms, traceable flow, can cooperate with environmental audits and ISO audits, and absolutely does not end up with illegal small workshops
