Old Han is making wear-resistant coatings in Zhenjiang. Due to a formula adjustment, a batch of PE/PTFE modified material was compressed into the warehouse over three tons. This material is made by mixing PTFE micropowder into the PE base and targeting the low-friction coating. The particles look pale and different from ordinary PE. The new formula has reduced the PTFE ratio, and these three tons of old mix material instantly turned from "specialized coating material" to "excess material." He asked around his peers, and when they heard PE/PTFE, they all shook their heads: "We can't really tell PE apart; PE and PTFE are inseparable." Old Han squatted at the warehouse door, staring blankly at the pile of whitened granules.

PE/PTFE micropowder blends become dull because they fear being sold as regular PE.

PE is cheap, PTFE is expensive, and mixing them together makes people worry about only counting the cheap ones. Why is

PE/PTFE so hard to handle? It combines the processability of PE with the self-lubricating properties of PTFE, specifically for wear-resistant coatings and low-friction parts. But PTFE micropowder is dispersed in PE, so to the naked eye it's just a bag of whitened granules. Ordinary recyclers can't tell if the bag is regular PE or modified PTFE additives. It's like sesame mixed into porridge—you think it's porridge without stirring, but only when you stir do you realize there's something inside. Ordinary recyclers get it and calculate it as regular PE, and the money you pay for PTFE micropowder is eaten away. Plus, PE itself isn't expensive, and after adding PTFE, the value is all in that tiny powder, making the ratio unclear, so the price can only be adjusted by anyone.

If cheap PE is mixed with expensive PTFE, the only worry is that some people will just pay by PE.

Now let's talk about the waste collectors. You make a round call, and the other party pretends to understand PE/PTFE and says, "We buy this often," but after quoting the price, you immediately know it's the standard PE market. You've already memorized the wholesaler's tricks: they don't ask how much PTFE you added, don't test friction, and just charge by PE—they know in their heart, you might not even remember how much you added back then. Some things are even worse: after you buy them back, they remix PTFE and sell it as self-lubricating modified material, making a profit from you in the middle. To put it bluntly, they're not actually receiving goods—they're making money from things you can't explain.

Things you can't explain have become their reason for lowering your price.

Cologne New Materials handles end-use digestion recycling, and we can handle PE/PTFE micropowder blends. We have customers who have long made wear-resistant coatings and low-friction components using these materials. Popular batches can be picked up the same day and left without inventory pressure. If we encounter PTFE with unclear proportions, mixed batches, or long-term storage, we bring them back to the factory for friction coefficient measurement, grading them by self-lubricating performance, then using our own modified formulas for proportional digestion, regardless of grade or batch. Pricing is based on tested PTFE contributions, friction performance, and appearance grading, with clear pricing—not just ordinary PE that is a one-size-fits-all approach. With our own production capacity and fixed customers as a backup, our quotes are stable and don't fluctuate with market trends.

The price of micropowder material depends on actual testing, not on the packaging bag.

Five-step cooperation process: material reporting, grading and evaluation, on-site pickup, deduction of payment, settlement and invoice. You send us the printed label, quantity, whitening level, and purpose of the material bag, and we price based on the actual product. Once negotiations are reached, we come to the door to deliver the goods. The recycling payment can directly offset your subsequent purchase of new materials—for engineering plastics, we have our own KONICE modified plastic series. For Zhenjiang Lao Han's three tons of PE/PTFE, we brought them back to the factory to measure the friction coefficient, and after testing the friction coefficient, we discounted them to a solid price based on modified materials containing PTFE, directly offsetting about half of the payment for KONICE modified materials in the second half of the year, so they didn't suffer losses from ordinary PE.

Sell the material used as porridge at the price of sesame inside.

We have received quite a few recyclable PE/PTFE grades. Syensqo's Polymist and Algoflon series PTFE micro-powder modified materials, 3M Dyneon's wear-resistant modified materials, RTP company's PE+PTFE blends—these mainstream systems are all within the regular receiving range; Other brands and PE/PTFE with other PTFE content are also welcome to submit materials, subject to physical appraisal. Recyclable forms include stagnant original packaging (whole or loose packages are acceptable), sprue and gate materials, coating scraps and machine head materials, wear-resistant scrap and defective products, as well as inventory leftover materials at the end of projects; Please package PTFE micro-powder separately, not mix it with pure PE, as the appraised value is higher.

Three Pitfalls to Avoid "PE/PTFE at the same price as regular PE?" The truth is, PTFE is a premium point; selling recklessly is the only way to lose money. "Just pick any PE collector?" The truth is, dealers who don't measure friction will only offer you PE prices. "Mix and load a whole truckload?" The truth is, materials containing PTFE mixed with pure PE are all pressed according to pure PE standards.

Compliance: Proper recycling and disposal, complete weighing and recycling forms, traceable flow, can cooperate with environmental audits and ISO audits, and absolutely does not end up with illegal small workshops
