Old Luo opened a hot melt glue factory in Zibo, supplying hot melt glue pellets to shoe and lamination factories. Last month, a shoe material client switched the rubber grade from PCL to other base materials. The warehouse had a batch of large Celgreen PH series, Placcel, and several bags of Bosto Capa 6500 and Capa 6800, sleeping on the pallet for nearly half a year. Because the workshop temperature was too high, the material pellets softened and stuck together, and the money on the ledger still had "imported PCL" hanging on the ledger—in other words, dead money lying on the account.

If the customer changes the rubber grade, they can negotiate; if the order is cut, they can take it again, but the stack of PCL in your warehouse won't just grow out of its own pocket.

Obsolete material isn't an asset, it's a liability lying on the books.

PCL this substance, scientifically called polycaprolactone, has a melting point of only about sixty degrees, so soft it is like a candle. It is used for hot melt adhesives, medical sustained release, and polyurethane modification, and its unit price is high. But its low melting point is a double-edged sword—in summer, when the warehouse temperature rises, the surface of the pellets soften and stick together, just like chocolate stored in a car trunk. It melts and can solidify again, but its properties are no longer the original properties. What's even more troublesome is that Celgreen, Placcel, Capa 6500, 6800, and 6400 have different molecular weights and uses. If mixed, the glue's opening times and strength don't match. If you don't understand grading, mix the adhesive block with the original packaging in one bag, and the seller will give you the standard price at a glance, selling the good material at a junk price. Over time, the labels wear down, and you can't even see the production date.

PCL just sitting there isn't waiting for the price to rise, but waiting for it to soften and clump in the warehouse on its own.

Let me tell a truth: Lao Luo once found a scrap dealer who drove a small truck over, circled the warehouse twice, and immediately said, "Your material is stuck into lumps, soft, and mixed. I'll calculate the wholesale price for you." Lao Luo thought he'd quickly make room and agreed. But after weighing, the other party started picking bags again—this bag was dirty, that had a smudged label, and he would cut off a few hundred yuan per ton. Old Luo felt a pang of anger, but the goods were already loaded, what else could he do?

The wholesaler's calculations are even more precise than your accountant's—picking out good materials and charging them as defective products, returning lumps with shipping fees. If you look at them, they're not making money from scrap, but money from your ignorance.

The vendor's quotation sheet is like a weather forecast—just glance at it before you leave, don't take it seriously.

Colon New Materials follows the terminal digestion route for PCL recycling, not relying on resale to make a price difference. Mainstream grades like Celgreen, Placcel, Capa 6500, Capa 6800, Capa 6400 are still used by downstream factories for hot melt adhesives, modified polyurethane, and medical auxiliary materials. After grading and receiving them, they immediately leave the target without holding back the warehouse. For mixed, lightly softened, clumped, or slightly darker ingredients, we don't pick them—they go into Cologne's own modified formula and digest them, just like mixing traditional Chinese medicine. If one flavor's molecular weight is slightly off, another ingredient can make up for it.

Pricing isn't one-size-fits-all. Grades are based on molecular weight, melting fingers, appearance, and softness. Original and new ingredients offer good prices, slightly degraded ones are charged as modified grades, with price differences laid out on the table. Plus, with our own production capacity and long-term customers as a backup, our quotes don't fluctuate wildly with the market. When prices rise, they chase after you; when prices drop, you ignore their calls. We still pay what we want.

Good ingredients aren't afraid of no buyers; what matters is selling good materials as waste.

The five-step cooperation process: material submission, graded evaluation, door-to-door pickup, deduction of payment, settlement and invoice. That's how Lao Luo's batch of materials went—he took a few photos and sent them with the grade, labeled with about two tons, we appraised and quoted a price, and scheduled a time for on-site weighing. After the goods were brought back, the recycling proceeds were directly offset by his purchase of KONICE modified plastics the next month, about half offset. Basically, the warehouse was cleared, the cash was back, and the new materials arrived at the factory. After the trip, he told me that if he'd known, he would have handled it two years earlier.

The essence of recycling isn't about selling scrap, but about turning dead money into working money.

Recyclable PCL covers mainstream grades such as Celgreen PH series, Placcel, Bosto Capa 6500, Capa 6800, Capa 6400, and other brands like Solvay, Munxi Group, and Ingevity. In terms of form, we collect stale original packaging (whole bags or loose bags are fine), hot melt glue edges and corners, injection strip material, softened lumping material, and inventory scraps. PCL is sensitive to heat and moisture; especially when warehouse temperatures are high, it needs to be handled early, as the longer it drags, the stickier it gets.

Three common misconceptions, a reminder for you—

"Recycling means selling cheaply?" "The truth is, sell by grade and grade; good materials can sell at good prices, and mixed materials get underpriced.

"Can you still use it after dissolving it into lumps?" "The truth is, after softening, the molecular weight and physical properties have changed, so the glue made by force is unstable."

"Who offered the highest price and sold to whom?" "The truth is, you bargain, weigh the scale, and delay payments right away; comparing prices to the three companies actually results in losses."
