PC/PMMA为什么难处理?它把PC的强度和PMMA的镜面光泽拼在一起,专门给高光外观件、显示屏盖板这种既要硬又要亮的地方用。可正因为拼的是表面功夫,PMMA那部分比例差一点,光泽就差一截,跟刷墙一样——多刷一遍和少刷一遍,肉眼看差不多,灯光一打全露馅。普通回收商看不出你这袋PMMA占几成,也不敢乱接高光料——接错了做出件来发乌,下家要退货。合金料单价不低,压在仓里又是资金又是租金,时间一长PMMA那部分还吸潮,镜面亮度肉眼可见地往下掉。
高光料就怕的不是灰,是放久了光就没了。
再算时间账:高光件放久了,表面那层PMMA容易吸潮,光泽度往下掉。你拿旧料去试模,跑出来的件灯光一照全是细纹,下家测光泽数据,价格立刻被压,还没法反驳。
再说收废料的。你打一圈电话,对方一听"高光PC/PMMA",先犯嘀咕,"这个料光泽要求高,我们收了没下家"。统货商碰到高光料,套路你早能背:先把你说慌,"这料放久了光泽肯定掉",然后按普通PC压你一刀。有些更绝,拿手电筒对着料袋一通照,照完挑出一半说"这批光泽不对,只能按次品收"。说白了,他不是在收货,是在拿你的镜面当筛子,筛完好料他挑走,次品价给你。

避坑三条。"高光料随便找个收废料的?"真相是不懂光泽度的人只会给你普通PC价。"放着慢慢用?"真相是PMMA吸潮后光泽不可逆下降。"谁价高卖给谁?"真相是不敢测光泽的贩子,到手必砍。

This material was originally designed for mirror highlight, and the particles in the bag were translucent and shiny. Now the client has switched to no-paint + textured leather, and this eight tons of material instantly changed from the "flagship model" to the "dusty type." The warehouse manager checked the material in the bag with his phone and said, "Mr. Luo, this material is really shiny, but no matter how shiny it is, no one uses it." Brightness is its specialty; when no one wants it, it actually stands out.
PC/Why is PMMA so hard to handle? It combines the strength of PC with the mirror gloss of PMMA, specifically for high-gloss exterior parts and display cover panels where both hard and bright surfaces are needed. But precisely because it's all about surface skill, the proportion of PMMA is a bit lower, and the gloss is a bit lacking, like painting a wall—whether you brush it more or less, it looks almost the same, but once you use the light, everything is exposed. Ordinary recyclers can't tell what percentage of your bag is PMMA, nor do they dare to randomly accept high-gloss material—if you connect the wrong one and ship it to black, the next store will have to return it. Alloy material is not cheap, but sitting in the silo means both capital and rent. Over time, the PMMA part absorbs moisture, and the mirror brightness visibly drops.
The real worry about high-gloss material isn't dust, but that after sitting too long, the shine disappears.
Let's calculate the timeline: When high-gloss parts are stored for a long time, the surface layer of PMMA absorbs moisture easily, and the gloss drops. If you take old material for a mold, the part that comes out shows fine lines under light. The next seller tests the gloss data, and the price is immediately pushed down, leaving no way to argue.
Now let's talk about the scrap collectors. You make a round call, and the other party hears "high-gloss PC/PMMA" and starts to grumble, "This material has high gloss requirements, we bought it but didn't find another supplier." When a wholesaler encounters high-gloss material, you can learn the trick: first, they tell you, "If this material sits too long, the shine will definitely fade," then press the regular PC button to make a cut. Some are even more ruthless, shining a flashlight on the material bag, then pick out half and say, "This batch has no gloss, only defective ones." To put it bluntly, they're not actually receiving goods; they're using your mirror surface as a sieve. After sieving, they pick out the good material and pay you the defective price.
You think they're selling high-gloss material, but actually they're being charged as ordinary PC.

The recycling fee can be directly used to offset your subsequent purchase of new materials—for engineering plastics, we have our own KONICE modified plastic series. Foshan Lao Luo's eight-ton high-gloss PC/PMMA was appraised and discounted at a real price, directly offsetting about half of the payment for his KONICE modified material in the second half of the year. We have received quite a few recyclable PC/PMMA grades. Mainstream PC/PMMA alloy systems like Mitsubishi Chemical, Sumitomo Chemical, and SABIC LNP are all within the regular acceptance range; Other brands and other formulations of PC/PMMA are also welcome to submit materials, subject to actual product evaluation. Recyclable forms include obsolete original pack material (whole or loose packages are fine), sprue material and gate material, high-gloss scrap and machine head material, appearance part scrap and defective products, as well as inventory scraps from project finishes. Clear labeling and single composition can all be negotiable.
Three Pitfalls to Avoid "High-gloss material can just be picked up as scrap?" The truth is, people who don't understand gloss will only offer you regular PC prices. "Leave it for slow use?" The truth is that after PMMA absorbs moisture, its gloss irreversibly decreases. "Whoever sells at the highest price?" The truth is, dealers who dare not measure gloss will cut it once they get it.
