PC/ASA为什么难处理?它把PC的强度和ASA的抗紫外拼在一起,专门给门把手、后视镜罩这种既要扛撞又要晒不黄的外饰件用。可正因为是耐候合金,配方特殊,普通回收商根本不知道你手里这袋该归哪一类——当PC卖亏了,当ASA卖又不对。它跟一副偏光墨镜一样,防晒是靠那层膜,膜在的时候你嫌贵,膜没了你又想不起它。合金料单价不低,压在仓里又是资金又是租金,时间一长ASA那部分还会吸潮,表面看着没事,其实耐候性能已经在悄悄打折扣。
耐候料就怕的不是晒,是放久了没人要。
再算时间账:耐候合金放久了,ASA那部分吸潮,紫外老化性能悄悄下滑。你拿去给下家测耐候,数据不好看,价格立刻被压——袋壁还没破,物性先折了,这亏吃得憋屈。
再说收废料的。你打一圈电话,十个有九个一听PC/ASA就说"这个料我不熟",第十个假装很熟,报个价低到你想挂电话。统货商碰到自己不懂的耐候合金,套路出奇一致:先把你说慌,"这料放快一年了,耐候早就不行了",然后按统货价收,转手卖给下家再翻一倍。有些更绝,上门看货时拿个样去测,测完回来压你价:"你这料色差不对,只能按次品算。"说白了,他不是来收货的,是来拿你的料当垫脚石的,垫完还得你谢他。

Old Zhu looked at the pile of materials and remembered that they had specifically checked the weathering report when purchasing, and now the report and the material are gathering dust in the warehouse. For exterior weather-resistant materials like
PC/ASA, once the project is terminated, all that's left is "no matter how good the weathering is, no one can use it."
When buying, they check the weathering report; when selling, no one reads it. Why is
PC/ASA so hard to deal with? It combines the strength of PC with the UV resistance of ASA, specifically for exterior parts like door handles and mirror covers that need to withstand impacts and stay sun-resistant. But precisely because it's a weather-resistant alloy with a special formula, ordinary recyclers have no idea which category the bag belongs to—if PC sells at a loss, selling ASA is wrong. It's like a pair of polarized sunglasses—sun protection relies on that film. When the film is on, you think it's expensive; when it's gone, you forget about it. The alloy material is expensive, and storing it in a warehouse means both capital and rent. Over time, the ASA part absorbs moisture. It looks fine on the surface, but its weather resistance is quietly declining.
Weather-resistant materials aren't afraid of sun exposure, but that after being stored for a long time, no one wants them.
Let's calculate the timeline: If the weather-resistant alloy is stored for too long, the ASA part absorbs moisture and its UV aging performance quietly declines. If you take it to the next seller to test its weathering resistance, the data looks bad, and the price is immediately pushed down—the bag wall isn't even broken yet, but the physical properties are already compromised, and that's a frustrating loss.
Now let's talk about the scrap collectors. You make a round call, nine out of ten people say "I'm not familiar with this material" as soon as they hear PC/ASA, and the tenth person pretends to be familiar with it and offers a price so low you're ready to hang up. When wholesalers encounter weather-resistant alloys they don't understand, their tactics are surprisingly consistent: first, they exaggerate you, "This material has been stored for almost a year, its weathering resistance is already poor," then they buy at the wholesale price and resell it to the next supplier for double price. Some are even more extreme: when you come to inspect the goods, they take samples for testing, and after testing, they bargain your price: "Your material color is off, so you can only count it as a defective product." "To put it bluntly, they're not here to receive goods, they're here to use your material as a stepping stone, and after that, you have to thank them."
After practicing with your materials, they still have to pay tuition fees.

You print the material bags, their quantity, appearance, and usage for them, and we grade them based on the actual item and quote accordingly. Once we reach an agreement, we come to the door to deliver the goods. The recovered payment can be directly used to offset your subsequent purchase of new materials—we have our own KONICE modified plastics series for engineering plastics. We have received quite a few recyclable PC/ASA grades. The SABIC Geloy series of PC/ASA weather-resistant alloys for automotive exteriors and door handles are our regular recipients; Other brands and formulas of PC/ASA alloys are also welcome, but actual appraisals will be the standard. Recyclable forms include obsolete original pack material (whole or loose packs are fine), sprue and gate materials, handle/trim scraps and machine head scraps, exterior scrap and defective products, as well as inventory scraps at the end of projects. All are negotiable with clear labels and single components.
Three pitfalls to avoid. "Weather-resistant material won't spoil if left unused?" The truth is, long-term moisture exposure reduces UV resistance. "Who sells to whom?" The truth is, dealers who don't understand the formula will be cut off once they get it. "Mixing and loading a whole truckload is easier?" The truth is that alloy mixed pure materials are only underpriced; only separated can they be sold at higher prices.
