Old Wang makes small appliance shells in Ningbo. A batch of PBT/ABS alloy material had just been tested twice on the machine, and the procurement side ordered an extra eight tons. After the finance department finished reconciling, they realized the order had been heavy. The material was piled up on the blue tray at the workshop entrance, with alloy grades printed on the bag. The warehouse manager asked if he wanted to return the supplier, but Old Wang waved it off—after the return period, the return was just a nothing. Now, those eight tons of material are crowded with a pile of cardboard boxes, and forklifts have to walk around when coming and going.

The stagnation of alloy material is even harder to handle than pure material, because fewer people understand.

The obsolete material isn't a warehouse issue, it's a cash flow issue.

PBT/ABS is a hybrid of two materials: PBT for chemical resistance and quick molding, ABS for surface gloss and impact resistance. Whether it's well mixed depends entirely on the formula; ordinary recyclers can't see the difference. It's like a bowl of double milk tea—you know there's tea and milk inside, but the proportions are wrong, and the taste changes completely. Wholesalers get it but don't dare sell it as PBT or ABS, so they just label it an "unknown alloy" and cut you down. Alloy material is expensive, but stored in the warehouse brings both rent and capital. Over time, a layer of material tends to leach on the surface, looking like oil, but in reality, it's the ingredients in the formula leaking out.

Alloy materials are afraid of mixing; once mixed, they go from treasures to burdens.

There are also many ledgers that many bosses don't count: when alloy materials are stored for a long time, the compatibilizers and additives in the formula gradually migrate, forming a layer on the surface, just like old furniture that gets oily after being stored for a long time. At this point, when you go to the collectors, they will see the price drops straight to the waistband, and no explanation is clear.

Now let's talk about the scrap collectors. You hold a bag of alloy materials and ask around the area; they usually pause for two seconds and then say, "We won't buy this material, you should find someone who specializes in alloys"—by the time you actually find a specialist, they have already pushed the price to the floor. You've long been familiar with the tactics of wholesalers: pick out the good bags, pick out the faults in the wrong bags, and when weighing, they scrape off dozens of kilograms. Some are even worse: when quoting, they treat you like a real father, and when they pick up goods, it's like checking your household registration. If you can't take this or that, if there's a problem, they even make you pay shipping fees before leaving. To put it bluntly, they're not here to collect goods, but to give you a lesson. The course is called "If You Don't Know the Trade, You Have to Pay Tuition."

You think you're comparing prices, but actually, others are competing to see who dares to pressure you.

Cologne New Materials does end-use digestible recycling, and alloy materials—this kind of "niche hybrid" is exactly our main battleground. We have long-term clients in electronic enclosures, automotive parts, and low-warpage structural parts who use PBT/ABS alloys. Popular batches are picked up and can be sold the same day, without inventory pressure. If we encounter unconventional formulas, mixed batches, or questionable ingredients, we bring them back to the factory for physical property testing and grading, then bring in our own modified formulas for proportional consumption, ensuring no discrimination by grade or batch. Pricing is based on actual physical properties, appearance, and known formulas, with clear and real prices—not a "fixed price based on mood." We have our own production capacity and fixed customers to support the bottom line, so our quotes are stable and don't fluctuate wildly with market trends.

Alloy materials sell well not because of sweet talk, but because people actually take them.

Five-step cooperation process: material reporting, grading and evaluation, on-site receipt, deducting payment, settlement and invoice. You bring over the packaging, printing, quantity, and purpose of the alloy materials, we grade and quote based on the actual goods, and once negotiations are reached, we come to the door to deliver the goods. The recyclable payment isn't about cashing out; it's directly offset for your subsequent purchase of new materials—we have our own KONICE modified plastics series for engineering plastics. Ningbo Lao Wang's eight-ton reordered alloy material was appraised and discounted at a reasonable price, directly offsetting about half of his payment for KONICE's modified shell material for the second half of the year. The blue pallet was empty that day.

Clearing out the warehouse is more useful than having an extra line of numbers on the account.

We've received quite a few recyclable PBT/ABS grades. The PBT alloy in BASF's Ultradur series, Poly's DURANEX 361SA ED3002, and SABIC Valox's PBT/ABS alloys are all within the standard range; Other brands and other formulations of PBT/ABS are also welcome to submit materials, subject to actual product evaluation. Recyclable forms include obsolete original packaging (whole and loose packages are fine), sprue and gate materials, shell scraps and machine head scraps, small appliance scrap and defective products, and leftover inventory at the end of projects. Items with single composition and clear labels can all be negotiated.

Three pitfalls to avoid. "Same price as alloy and pure materials?" The truth is alloy materials are graded by formula; selling them recklessly is the only way to lose money. "Leave it and use it slowly?" The truth is that precipitation and moisture absorption make it less valuable the longer it is stored. "Who sells at a high price to whom?" The truth is, dealers who can't distinguish the brand will bargain when they get it.

Compliance: Proper recycling and disposal, complete weighing and recycling forms, traceable flow, cooperating with environmental audits and ISO audits, never going to illegal small workshops
