EAA这料,是乙烯丙烯酸共聚物,做无菌包装、复合管、对铝箔和PET粘接的,靠的就是那层"粘得牢"。可它加工温度敏感,边角料放久了吸潮、氧化,粘性就掉。
老何的仓管把那两托料往里间挪,台账上写着"待处理"。车间那头,每天切下来的EAA水口料、复合膜边角料堆在角落。
EAA的痛点在于:它是粘接树脂,粘性就是它的命,放久了命先没。
呆滞料不是资产,是趴在账上的负债。
EAA说白了就是改性聚乙烯,里面加了丙烯酸,专做铝箔复合、PET复合、无菌包装的粘接层。正因为是粘接树脂,单价不低,一压库占的钱就多。
EAA放久了粘性下降,跟胶水放干了一样——瓶子还是那瓶,开盖已经不粘了。原包料开袋吸潮氧化,回炉做复合层,剥离强度不够,客户直接拒收。
车间里更现实的是它小众。EAA和EVA长得像,工人图省事往一个袋里倒。一混,粘接性就打了折扣,做复合膜的厂子不敢收。
粘接树脂的价值,全在那层"粘"字上,混掉了就一文不值。
老何找过收料的。贩子抓起料粒一看,说"这不就是EVA嘛,按EVA价"。老何当场摇头——他这是EAA,做铝箔复合的,跟EVA差着价呢。可贩子不听,他不认EAA。
说白了,统货商对这种"长得像EVA"的料,本能就是往EVA上靠。他不是不知道有EAA,是认EAA没好处——认了就得给你好价,不认就能压你。
有些贩子的认知,停留在"塑料就分透明和不透明"这一层,你跟他谈粘接,他跟你谈统货。

Lao He works in Yuyao, Ningbo, doing composite packaging and aluminum foil bonding films, and the workshop produces extruding laminating machines that produce EAA work year-round. Last month, a sterile packaging project switched to the adhesive system. The warehouse had two trays of EAA raw packaging, Exxon Escor, which suddenly became unusable.
EAA this material is ethylene acrylic copolymer, used for aseptic packaging, composite tubes, and bonding aluminum foil and PET, relying on that layer of "strong adhesion." But its processing temperature is sensitive; the edge scraps absorb moisture and oxidize over time, losing their stickiness.
Old He's warehouse manager moved the two trays inside, with the ledger marked "pending processing." At the end of the workshop, the daily cut EAA sprue material and composite film scraps were piled up in the corner. The pain point of
EAA is: it's adhesive resin, and stickiness is its life—if left for a long time, it's gone.
Obsolete material isn't an asset, it's a liability lying on the books.
EAA to put it plainly, it's modified polyethylene, with acrylic acid added, specifically for bonding layers for aluminum foil lamination, PET lamination, and aseptic packaging. Because it's adhesive resin, the unit price isn't low, and once you keep it in storage, it takes up a lot of money.
EAA after being stored for a while, the viscosity drops, like glue drying out—the bottle is still the same, and once you open the cap, it's no longer sticky. The original packaging absorbs moisture and oxidizes upon opening, then returns to the furnace to make a composite layer. If the peel strength isn't strong enough, customers simply refuse to accept it.
What's more practical in the workshop is that it's niche. EAA and EVA look alike, so workers just pour it into one bag for convenience. Once mixed, the adhesion is reduced, and factories making laminated films don't dare to accept it.
The value of adhesive resin lies entirely in that layer of "stickiness"; once mixed out, it's worthless.
Old He once contacted a material collector. The vendor picked up the material and said, "Isn't this EVA? At EVA price." Old He shook his head on the spot—this was EAA, made for aluminum foil lamination, and the price was lower than EVA. But the dealer wouldn't listen; he didn't recognize EAA.
To put it bluntly, wholesalers instinctively lean toward EVA for materials that "look like EVA." It's not that they don't know about EAA, but that accepting EAA has no benefit—if they accept it, they have to offer you a good price; if not, they can pressure you.
Some dealers think that "plastics are divided into transparent and opaque" layers. You talk to them about bonding, they negotiate for wholesale goods.

Tell a true story. Last year, a factory in Ningbo that made aluminum foil composite film had about 4 tons of EAA raw material mixed with a bunch of EVA sprue material, so the project's adhesive system was no longer needed. On our trip, first sort out the EAA mixed in EVA and grade it; those with sufficient adhesion go through composite modification. The recycled batch is directly deducted from the next batch of KONICE payments, about half of the cost. The row of mixing bags in the workshop was cleared out, and the warehouse space was returned.
Good material isn't afraid of not being picked up; the fear is selling good material as waste.
EAA the grades we are familiar with: ExxonMobil Escor 5050, Escor 5020, Escor 5100, and other mainstream adhesive resin grades are accepted year-round; other grades are subject to physical appraisal.
Recyclable forms: stagnant original packaging, sprue gate materials, composite film scraps, defective scrap parts, and inventory scraps. Special reminder—EAA sprue material must be bagging separately from EVA; mixing it will eliminate the bonding premium.
- "Isn't EAA just EVA?" The truth is EAA follows the acrylic bonding main chain, with a high composite premium. Mixing and selling it is selling cheaply.
- "Waiting for the project to restart?" The truth is, the adhesive material loses viscosity the more you use it, and the composite peel strength can't hold up first.
- "Who bids the highest price and sells to whom?" The truth is, EAA is treated like EVA and collected; what you get is the EVA price.
