老彭的厂在台州，做密封件和不粘涂层。去年一批电缆绝缘订单取消，他仓里压了一吨多Teflon和POLYFLON，还有半吨车削刨花料堆在角落，搁在干燥仓里。PTFE这料金贵，耐化学、耐高低温，做密封、不粘涂层、电缆绝缘、医药是把好手，单价不低，压半年就是小几万占压。财务催着计提跌价，他一直拖着。他问了一圈收料的，没几个认得PTFE牌号的，出价的全按普通塑料瞎压。
越金贵的氟料，压在仓里越像一块搬不走的石头。
PTFE是什么？聚四氟乙烯，耐化学、耐高低温、不粘，做密封、不粘涂层、电缆绝缘、医药是把好手。它跟别的塑料不一样，不熔融注塑，靠模压、烧结成型，所以回收形态也杂——有原包料，也有车削屑、刨花、预烧结料。可它金贵在"纯"——跟高纯试剂一样，沾了油、混了杂，密封级、涂料级的身份就保不住。再加上这料圈子窄，普通回收商收了找不到下家。单价高、冷门、放着贬值，全让老彭撞上了。他也想赶紧清，又怕被人当普通料压价。冷门氟料的尴尬，是好料怕混，一混就掉价。
你找个统货商来，他八成分不清Teflon和POLYFLON的区别，张口"塑料都一个价"，把你密封级PTFE按普通塑料称。半佛一句：他不是不识货，他是这料超出了他的认知范围，只能拿底价试探你。压秤、说你车削屑是"废料"要打折、先报个价勾你再砍——这套下来，你那点好料就被当处理价出了。说白了，PTFE这种料，就怕遇到"啥都不懂但啥都敢收"的贩子。
拿"都是废料"糊弄你，本身就是欺负你不懂行。

避三个坑。一"塑料都一个价"，真相是PTFE这种氟料跟普通塑料价差好几倍。二"车削屑是废料不值钱"，真相是分级好的车削屑照样有下家。三"放着反正不变质"，真相是沾油污染就降级。车削屑、预烧结料别当垃圾扔，分级好照样有价。
Old Peng's factory is in Taizhou, making seals and non-stick coatings. Last year, a batch of cable insulation orders was canceled. He stored over a ton of Teflon and POLYFLON in his warehouse, and half a ton of turned shavings piled in the corner, stored in the drying silo. PTFE is expensive—chemical-resistant, heat-resistant, and excellent for sealing, non-stick coatings, cable insulation, and pharmaceuticals. The unit price isn't low, but after half a year, it takes tens of thousands of yuan. Finance keeps urging for price drops, but he's been delaying. He asked around with the suppliers, but hardly anyone recognized the PTFE grade; all the bidders were randomly using ordinary plastic.
The more expensive the fluorine, the more it feels like a stone that can't be moved. What is
PTFE? PTFE is chemical-resistant, heat-resistant, non-stick, and excellent for sealing, non-stick coatings, cable insulation, and pharmaceuticals. It's different from other plastics—it's not melt-in-molded, but molded by molding and sintering, so its recycling forms are diverse—there are raw materials, turned shavings, shavings, and pre-sintered materials. But its value lies in its 'purity'—just like high-purity reagents, if it gets oiled or mixed in, its sealing or coating-grade status can't be maintained. Plus, the material has a narrow circle, and ordinary recyclers can't find buyers. High unit price, niche value, and depreciation all hit Old Peng's mark. He wants to clear it quickly, but he's afraid of being treated as ordinary material and undervalued. The awkward part of niche fluorine is that good materials are afraid of mixing, and mixing them causes the price to drop.
You find a wholesaler, who doesn't understand the difference between Teflon and POLYFLON, and just says "all plastics are the same price," labeling your sealed-grade PTFE as ordinary plastic. Half-Buddha replies: It's not that they don't know the quality, but that the material is beyond their understanding, so they can only test you at the lowest price. They're weighing it, saying your turning chips are "waste" and want to discount it, quoting a price to get you before bargaining—this way, your good parts get treated as disposal price. To put it bluntly, PTFE is just a scammer who "knows nothing but dares to buy anything."
Using "all waste" to fool you is just bullying you for not knowing the trade.

Old Peng's over ton of PTFE, including turned shavings, was evaluated and converted into the quota for KONICE modified plastic new materials, which perfectly offset his next batch of sealant procurement costs. A sealing parts factory did the same last month, clearing out inventory that had been held for over half a year in one go.
