Old Hu's factory makes fuel pipes and chemical barrier layers, using EFEP, which is extruded with general-purpose resins like PA. Last year, the OEM changed the piping plan. He stored over a ton of NEOFLON EFEP in his warehouse, stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse, with new labels. EFEP is so niche that it's not cheap per kilogram. Downstream are in fuel pipes and chemical barrier niches. Ordinary recyclers have never even heard of it, and all the bidders ask are blindly using ordinary fluoroplastic. Old Hu did the math: after holding for half a year, just the interest on the funds he holds is quite high. Finance is still urging for a price drop, but he keeps stalling and doesn't dare to move the accounts, and the more he delays, the less he knows how to act.

Rare material hardly anyone has heard of, just sitting there is a gamble of luck. What is

EFEP? Daikin's NEOFLON EFEP is co-extruded and laminated with general-purpose resins like PA, making fuel pipes and chemical barrier layers—chemically resistant and compatible with other resins. But it's very niche, just like in the corners of the market—the main dish is in demand, but the scraps are unrecognized, but they can still be used as a side dish. This material has a narrow niche, with only fuel pipes and chemical barriers downstream and high prices. Ordinary recyclers can't find a buyer at all. Niche materials can't find a buyer, and they just depreciate—Old Hu ran into it. He asked around the buyers but none had heard of EFEP; all the bids were randomly sold on ordinary fluoroplastics. The more he asked, the more disheartened he felt—good materials were about to be burned like firewood.

The value of niche materials has never been about whether no one wants them, but who recognizes them.

You call a scrap collector, who probably hasn't even heard of EFEP and just says "fluoroplastics are pretty much the same," and treats your special co-extruded material as ordinary fluoroplastic. A half-Buddha retort: It's not that he doesn't know the quality, it's that this material is beyond his understanding. He can only test you with the lowest price to see if you panic. Weighing the scale, saying your material will be discounted if it's been stored too long, quoting a price to hook you before bargaining—this kind of setup treats your good material as a bargain price. To put it bluntly, the real danger for niche materials is dealing with these "clueless but daring to buy anything" dealer, who buys them and then sells them and then blames you for poor quality.

For materials outside our understanding, dealers will only test you at the base price.

Why can Cologne handle it? Because downstream of EFEP, we have fuel pipes and chemical barriers to meet customers. Daikin's EFEP grades are collected and directly diverted without inventory pressure. Niche batches and downgraded materials are processed with our own modified formulas. We price by grade, form, and purity, with clear and precise pricing. With our own capacity and customer backing, we dare to set prices for these niche materials, not just drifting with market trends. To put it bluntly, what we earn isn't the price difference from resale, but from "recognizing this niche material and delivering it to the target customers." Popular grades have the next supplier lining up, downgraded materials go to their own formula as a backup, pricing by grade without a one-size-fits-all basis, capacity plus customer support and only less popular materials are accepted and quoted.

Only those who recognize this material and have the next supplier can sell it at a higher price.

Five-step process: submitting → grading evaluation→ receiving goods at the door→ deducting payment→ settlement and invoicing. Old Hu's over one ton of EFEP, after evaluation, converted into KONICE's modified plastic new material quota, just enough to offset his next batch of co-extruded material purchases. A fuel pipe factory did the same last month, clearing out inventory after more than half a year in one go. You send us grades, quantities, and photos; we estimate the range remotely, then arrange a visit if it seems suitable. We recognize the less popular material too.

Turning Dead Money into Living Money, Betting on Project Restart, Reliable Comparison.

Point out the grades: Daikin NEOFLON EFEP RP-5000, NEOFLON EFEP RP-5000AS, all within the regular recycling range; Other EFEP grades are subject to physical appraisal. Recyclable forms include stagnant original packaging, co-extruded sprue material, corner machine head material, defective barrier layers, and inventory scraps; if damaged or damp, they are still accepted. Scraps co-extruded with PA are also collected, and we sort them on site.

Avoid three pitfalls. First, "Fluoroplastics all have the same price"—the truth is EFEP, this specialized co-extruded material, is priced much higher than ordinary fluoroplastics. Second, "Niche materials are unpopular"—the truth is that their suppliers have been looking for them. 3. "Waiting for old customers to return"—the truth is, just sitting there will only depreciate, and customers may not even use it when they return. Niche materials are worth delaying; the earlier you release, the sooner you get better; the sooner you ask, the more reliable you are—no loss
