PAR这个行当,水比你想象的深。同样叫聚芳酯,同样号称"透明耐高温",一吨价差能拉到一倍,打出来的透镜镀完膜一晒,黄的黄、裂的裂。更妙的是,真正懂PAR的人没几个,因为它太小众了。
陕西宝鸡有家做车灯透镜周边件的厂,去年图便宜进了一批"透明PAR副牌",报价比正牌低近三成。打出来外观透亮,镀铝、镀膜一过,装车路试俩月,灯罩里的透镜座在紫外线暴晒下开始发黄、局部开裂,整车一批灯被退回返工。老板后来才反应过来:他买的根本不是正儿八经大厂副牌,是混着卖的杂牌料。

PAR是什么,谁在供
PAR,学名聚芳酯(Polyarylate),透明、非晶、高耐热的超级工程塑料,热变形温度一百七到两百度,耐紫外线、透光好,是车灯透镜、车灯灯座、光学透镜、耐高温透明件的专用料。它和PCT、PC不一样,贵在"透明还扛晒、还耐热"这两点叠在一起。
PAR是典型小众品类,全球头部国外企业就那么几家,按实际梯队写,不硬排:
尤尼吉卡(Unitika,日本):U-Polymer(U聚合物)是它家招牌,1973年全球率先把聚芳酯工业化,是这个品类的开山户,光学、汽车、精密仪器用得多;
索尔维(Solvay,特种聚合物业务现属Syensqo,比利时):Ardel系列聚芳酯,主打耐紫外、光学与高温性能;
三菱工程塑料(Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics,日本):供应聚芳酯牌号,电子、汽车、航空方向有布局。
小众品类就这三家主要国外玩家,剩下的多是改性厂、贸易料,不是原厂原粒。
副牌是什么,边界在哪
PAR副牌的概念,和其他聚芳酯家族料一脉相承。
定义:同一厂家同一牌号里,出厂检验没完全踩中正牌指标的那部分。同一批聚合料,合格贴正牌,个别指标小幅浮动就是副牌。
四大来源:开停车头尾料、牌号切换过渡料、工艺波动致色相/透光/熔指某一项小幅超标的批次、副线尾料。
它仍是原厂原生聚合粒子,分子结构和正牌一致。边界表:

尤尼吉卡U-Polymer:开山招牌
尤尼吉卡的U-Polymer是聚芳酯的祖师爷级产品。透明、高耐热、耐候,车灯透镜座、反光碗周边、精密仪器透明件长期用它。它后来还推出耐热更高的Unifyr系列。
它的副牌浮动项,常见是透光率(雾度)和色相。做车灯非高光的灯座、反光支架、内部耐热件,这种副牌够用;但要做直接出光的透镜、外观高光件,必须正牌或精选副,别赌。
适用场景:车灯灯座、光学内件。
索尔维Ardel:耐紫外那档
索尔维Ardel系列聚芳酯,主打紫外稳定性和光学性能,适合户外暴晒件。它的副牌多在熔指、色相上小幅浮动,耐紫外主干性能一般还在。
做车灯外露但非主透镜的装饰框、反光件、户外光学件,Ardel副牌值得碰。要注意它包装分大包装、小包装,量小走小包、量大走大包。

三菱工程塑料:稳定的补充档
三菱工程塑料供应的聚芳酯牌号,电子、汽车方向用得稳。它家副牌流动性浮动常见,渠道相对规范,批次不算乱。
对国内厂来说,三菱这档副牌更适合做非外观的耐热结构件、电子周边件,性价比稳。它和尤尼吉卡、索尔维凑一起,就是PAR这个小众品类能找到的三家主要国外原厂来源。
适用场景:电子耐热件、汽车结构件。
避坑:车灯件最怕什么
PAR副牌做车灯光学件,三个坑。
一、耐紫外是这条线最该盯的那道关。凡是走过热历史的回料再生料,暴晒必黄变。做车灯件必须要原厂原粒副牌,别贪便宜拿"透明再生PAR"赌。
二、透光和色相先测。副牌常飘雾度、黄度,镀铝镀膜前先留样打光,黄度超标的别上主透镜。

The same called polyarylate, the same claiming 'transparent and high-temperature resistant,' the price per ton can differ by a factor of two. Lenses made from it, after coating and exposure, may turn yellow or crack. What's more interesting is that very few people really understand PAR because it's too niche.
There is a factory in Baoji, Shaanxi that makes peripheral parts for car headlight lenses. Last year, trying to save money, they bought a batch of 'transparent PAR sub-brands,' which were priced nearly 30% lower than the genuine brands. At first, the appearance looked clear, and after aluminum plating and coating, the lights were installed on cars and tested on the road for two months. However, under UV exposure, the lens holders inside the headlight covers began to yellow and crack in some areas, and a batch of lights on the vehicles was returned for rework. The boss only later realized: what he bought was not a legitimate sub-brand from a big manufacturer at all, but rather a mix of miscellaneous counterfeit materials being sold.
PAR (polyarylate) is niche, and the pitfalls are niche too. Today, let's break it down — what it is, who supplies it, and how to choose sub-brands without hitting a snag.
What is PAR, and who is supplying it?
PAR, scientifically named Polyarylate, is a transparent, amorphous, high-heat-resistant super engineering plastic with a heat distortion temperature of 170 to 200 degrees Celsius. It is UV-resistant, has good light transmittance, and is a specialized material for automotive lamp lenses, lamp holders, optical lenses, and high-temperature-resistant transparent parts. It differs from PCT and PC, and its value lies in the combination of being transparent, sun-resistant, and heat-resistant.
PAR is a typical niche category, with only a few leading foreign companies worldwide. Write according to the actual tiers, without forcing a ranking:
Unitika (Japan): U-Polymer is their flagship product. In 1973, they were the first in the world to industrialize aromatic polyester, making them a pioneer in this category. It is widely used in optics, automobiles, and precision instruments.
Solvay (specialty polymers business now part of Syensqo, Belgium): Ardel series polyarylates, primarily focused on UV resistance, optical properties, and high-temperature performance;
Mitsubishi Engineering-Plastics (Japan): Supplies polyarylate grades, with presence in electronics, automotive, and aerospace sectors.
For niche categories, there are only these three main foreign players; the rest are mostly modification factories or trading materials, not original factory pellets.
What is a side deck, and where is the boundary?
The concept of PAR copolymer brand follows the same lineage as other polyarylate family materials.
Definition: Within the same manufacturer and the same brand, the portion that does not fully meet the official brand's indicators during factory inspection. For the same batch of polymer, the qualified ones are labeled with the official brand, and the ones with slight variations in individual indicators are the sub-brand.
Four main sources: start and end materials from opening production, transition materials during grade changes, batches with slight exceedances in color shade/transparency/melt index due to process fluctuations, and by-product materials from secondary lines.
It is still the original factory native aggregated particles, with molecular structure identical to the genuine brand. Boundary surface:

The most problematic point of PAR is this: after several cycles of regrind and recycled material going through heat history, its UV resistance and light transmission fail. When used for car headlight parts exposed to sunlight, it yellows immediately — this is exactly the pitfall that the Baoji factory stumbled into.
Unigica U-Polymer: Signature Product
Yunijika's U-Polymer is the pioneering product of polyarylate. Transparent, highly heat-resistant, and weather-resistant, it has been used for a long time in car lamp lens holders, reflector bowls, and transparent parts of precision instruments. Later, they also launched the Unifyr series, which has even higher heat resistance.
Its secondary brand floating items commonly include light transmittance (haze) and hue. For making non-high-gloss lamp holders, reflective brackets, and internal heat-resistant parts for car lights, this secondary brand is sufficient; but for making lenses that directly emit light or high-gloss external parts, you must use the primary brand or carefully selected secondary brand—don't take chances.
Applicable scenarios: car lamp sockets, optical internal components.
Solvay Ardel: UV Resistant Grade
Solvay Ardel series polyarylates are primarily focused on UV stability and optical performance, suitable for outdoor-exposed parts. Its sub-brands usually have slight fluctuations in melt index and color tone, but the main UV-resistant performance generally remains.
For exposed car light decorative frames, reflectors, and outdoor optical components that are not the main lens, the Ardel sub-brand is worth considering. Be aware that it comes in large and small packages; use the small package for small quantities and the large package for large quantities.
Applicable scenarios: outdoor optics, car light decorative parts.
Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics: Stable Supplementary File
Mitsubishi engineering plastics supplies polyarylate grades that are stable for use in electronics and automotive applications. Their sub-brands often have variable flow properties, the distribution channels are relatively standardized, and the batches are not considered chaotic.
For domestic manufacturers, Mitsubishi's sub-brand is more suitable for non-aesthetic heat-resistant structural components and electronic peripheral parts, with stable cost performance. Together with Unigica and Solvay, they are the three main foreign original sources that can be found for the niche category of PAR.
Applicable scenarios: electronic heat-resistant parts, automotive structural components.
Pitfall to avoid: What car lights fear the most
PAR subsidiary brand manufactures automotive lighting optical components, three issues.
1. UV resistance is the most important checkpoint for this material. Any recycled material with a history of heat exposure will yellow when exposed to sunlight. For making car light components, you must use original factory pellets or secondary brand pellets; don’t be tempted to gamble with 'transparent recycled PAR' for the sake of saving money.
2. Measure light transmission and hue first. Secondary lenses often have haze and yellowing; before aluminum coating or film coating, leave a sample for light testing. Do not use the main lens if the yellowing exceeds the standard.
3. Make sure to choose sources from three original manufacturers. Niche materials are most afraid of 'raising the sign of a sheep while selling dog meat'; you need original granules from the original factory that can be verified with U-Polymer, Ardel, and Mitsubishi grades.
