TPEE, this material, provides strength in the hard sections and elasticity in the soft sections, making it ideal for shock-absorbing bushings, dust covers, and rod ball head sleeves. But it's expensive and used in large quantities, so some people go for TPU or even softer TPE for cost reasons. The ability of TPEE is that the hard segments and soft segments each do their own thing.

TPEE stands for thermoplastic polyester elastomer. Structurally, it is a block copolymer composed of hard segment PBT and soft segment polyether or polyester. When the two are combined, it has both the strength of plastic and the elasticity of rubber, making it resistant to fatigue from repeated bending and compression.

TPEE sub-brand is still from the same manufacturer and the same grade, but refers to the portion that did not fully meet the factory inspection standards. The hard PBT segment and the soft segment block structure remain unchanged; only certain indicators—often Shore hardness, melt index, and color difference—deviate slightly.

The four major sources remain unchanged: leftover materials from starting and stopping production, transitional materials from grade switching, batches with individual items exceeding standards due to process fluctuations, and leftover materials from secondary lines. It is still original factory native polymer particles.

Clear boundary: The main brand meets all indicators and batch stability; the secondary brand has slight deviations in some indicators, but the base material is consistent; recycled material is made from scrap corners, has undergone a previous heating process, and its fatigue performance is reduced; reprocessed material fluctuates greatly. Shock-absorbing bushings need to withstand 100,000 cycles, using recycled material is like planting a landmine in the chassis, and the secondary brand is the only level where cost can be reduced among original materials.

The characteristics of LG's sub-brand are that the supply is relatively easy to find and the pricing tiers are clear, making it suitable for shock-absorbing structural components where fatigue requirements are not extremely strict but the quantity is large. Their materials are often packaged in small sizes, making it convenient to do multiple formula samples and switch between small and medium batch production. When choosing this sub-brand, first run a round of fatigue and rebound tests, and if they match, then scale up production.

Choose the TPEE secondary card, first run through these four numbers

First, run the fatigue curve. The lifespan of the shock-absorbing bushing is 100,000 cycles without cracking. Secondary brands entering the factory must undergo fatigue testing and cannot rely solely on static hardness.

Second, pay attention to Shao's hardness. Hardness directly determines the stiffness of the bushing; even a small difference can change the feel of the entire vehicle chassis.

Third, pay attention to the gate. If the gate is incorrect, the injection molded part will not fill properly or there will be flash, and uneven wall thickness directly affects fatigue.
