Pure PPE has a flaw: extremely high melt viscosity, processing temperatures above 300°C, and prone to oxidation and cross-linking. Therefore, 99% of PPE sold on the market is modified alloy—blended with PS to make PPE/PS (called MPPE), or with PA alloy (PPE/PA). Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics—Iupiace series, balanced and practical

First pitfall: selling PPE/PS secondary brands as PPE/PA secondary brands. These two alloys are worlds apart—PPE/PS is heat-resistant, low dielectric, used for electronic components; PPE/PA is chemical-resistant and gasoline-resistant, used for automotive oil coolers. If you pick the wrong alloy, problems arise as soon as you put it on the machine. Ask about the alloy system before buying.

Second pitfall: Selling recycled PPE as a secondary brand. Because recycled PPE has undergone two thermal cycles, the molecular chains degrade, causing dielectric constant fluctuations, making high-frequency, high-speed parts a direct failure. Identification method: Original sub-brand particles have smooth surfaces and uniform color; Recycled material particles are dark, have black spots, and have uneven particle sizes.

Third pitfall: Randomly applied regardless of purpose. Secondary brands usually withstand 5°C-10°C lower than genuine ones. If your parts operate above 130°C for a long time, don't insist on using secondary brands; For cooling brackets at 100°C-120°C, secondary brands are just right.
