做五层共挤复合膜的老板,经常以为自己下单买的是“粘合层树脂”,其实买的是一手运气。同样是接枝改性聚烯烃,袋子上都印着adhesive resin,买回来一烘,跟阻气层接不上口,熟化三天整卷膜从中间劈开,胶层干干净净脱层。这种事每年都在复合膜车间上演。
问题不在你运气差,在你根本没搞懂:你以为ADPOLY是个杂牌,其实它背后站着韩国乐天化学;你以为粘胶树脂随便换,其实它跟基材配对错一个,整卷膜就废。
ADPOLY不是大品类,是给两种材料“做媒”的料
ADPOLY不是塑料大品类,是韩国乐天化学(Lotte Chemical)手里一块牌子,学名是接枝改性聚烯烃粘胶树脂——通过在聚烯烃分子链上接枝极性基团,让本来“老死不相往来”的两种料热压到一起时能咬死。它用在哪?五层共挤复合膜里那层粘合层、铝塑复合管、食品包装的阻隔层粘合、以及增容。说白了,它本身不做产品,它是给两种不同材料“做媒”的料。
全球做这门生意、把改性聚烯烃粘合树脂做成规模的国外企业,前三张名单很清楚:韩国乐天化学的ADPOLY系列、日本三井化学(Mitsui Chemicals)的ADMER系列、日本三菱化学(Mitsubishi Chemical)的MODIC系列。这三家基本就是工业级聚烯烃粘合树脂的第一梯队,牌号体系、共挤出工艺配套成熟。后面还有北欧化工(Borealis)的Borflow等跟进,但流通量和认证积累上差半档。这是按产能与行业流通份额排的梯队口径。
ADPOLY副牌,不是掺回收料的便宜货
ADPOLY副牌,本质跟所有原厂副牌一个逻辑:乐天化学同一牌号、同一套接枝聚合装置出来的原生粒子,分子链上接的极性基团数量、熔指、粘合力,在出厂检验时个别指标小幅偏出内控线,就走副牌。它不是掺了回收料的便宜货,也不是降级配方。
四大来源还是那四个:开停车头尾料、切牌号过渡料、工艺波动致个别指标飘移的批次、副线尾料。跟回料的边界更要说透:回料是你厂里把复合膜边角料重新造粒,胶层和基材混在一起,极性基团分布早乱了,再用来做粘合层,粘合力根本没法控;再生料更不用说,波动大。副牌是原厂第一次聚合的干净粒子,批次可追溯。包装上分大包装和小包装,原厂原包。
乐天化学ADPOLY:PP基PE基两条线,基料对不上就分层
主角乐天化学。ADPOLY是它用自主技术开发的粘胶树脂,PP基和PE基都有,BP系列、CM系列这些牌号流通很广。PP基的BP-402这类,做食品和工业薄膜、铝复合管用得多。
它的副牌特点是熔指浮动通常不大,做一般复合膜粘合层够用。坑在哪?ADPOLY有PP基和PE基两条线,基料跟你的基材对不上,粘得再牢也会分层——拿PP基去粘PE基的膜,就是白忙。
三井ADMER:牌子老,食品接触和耐油认证厚
第二家三井化学的ADMER,这是全球最早把聚烯烃粘合树脂做出来、并且做了几十年的牌子。ADMER跟PP、PE、EVOH、PA、PET甚至金属都能配,是复合膜和汽车油路里的常客。
它的副牌料认证积累深,食品接触、耐油这些指标稳。三井的脾气是牌号分得细,粘接强度跟你的阻气层材料要配对——做EVOH阻隔膜就配EVOH专用那档,别拿通用档硬上。
三菱MODIC:tie层加可剥离密封,价格带宽
第三家三菱化学的MODIC。MODIC走的是tie层加可剥离密封两条技术路线,共挤出配PP、配PVC、配PA都有成熟方案。它的副牌在工业管材、包装板这些对成本敏感的活里流通不少。
三菱跟三井的差别是:三井牌子老、认证全,三菱牌号更新快、价格带更宽。三家选副牌,先定你要粘的是什么基材、走的是PP线还是PE线,再谈牌号。
ADPOLY这类副牌,三个坑最坑人
一是基料对错:PP基和PE基不分,上机就分层。二是熔指跟挤出线不匹配,接枝料对熔指敏感,差一点粘度就对不上,胶层厚薄不均。三是耐温耐化学不匹配:做高温蒸煮膜的,粘合层必须扛得住一百二十一度蒸煮,拿常温通用档去试,一蒸煮就脱层。
另外多批次混料前必须留样做剥离强度测试,复合膜的剥离强度就是整张膜的底。把大包装小包装分好,小批量试机别上大包。

The boss who makes five-layer co-extruded composite films often thinks that when he places an order, he's buying 'adhesive resin,' but actually he's buying a handful of luck. Even though it's the same graft-modified polyolefin and the bags are all labeled 'adhesive resin,' after baking it, it doesn't bond with the barrier layer. After curing for three days, the entire roll of film splits down the middle, and the adhesive layer peels off completely. This kind of thing happens every year in composite film workshops.
The problem is not that you're unlucky, it's that you simply haven't understood: you think ADPOLY is a generic brand, but actually it's backed by Lotte Chemical of Korea; you think adhesive resin can be swapped casually, but actually if it mismatches with the substrate, the entire roll of film is ruined.
ADPOLY is not a major category; it is a material that 'mediates' between two types of materials.
ADPOLY is not a major category of plastic; it is a brand owned by South Korea's Lotte Chemical. Its technical name is graft-modified polyolefin adhesive resin—it works by grafting polar groups onto polyolefin molecular chains, allowing two materials that normally 'would never mix' to lock together when heat-pressed. Where is it used? In the adhesive layer of five-layer coextruded films, in aluminum-plastic composite pipes, in barrier layer adhesion for food packaging, and for capacity enhancement. Simply put, it doesn’t make products itself; it acts as a 'matchmaker' for two different materials.
Globally, the foreign companies that are in this business and have scaled up the production of modified polyolefin adhesive resins are clear in the top three: ADPOLY series from Lotte Chemical in South Korea, ADMER series from Mitsui Chemicals in Japan, and MODIC series from Mitsubishi Chemical in Japan. These three basically form the first tier of industrial-grade polyolefin adhesive resins, with mature grade systems and co-extrusion process support. Following them are others like Borflow from Borealis in Northern Europe, but they lag behind in terms of circulation volume and certification accumulation. This ranking is based on production capacity and industry market share.
ADPOLY sub-brand, not cheap goods mixed with recycled materials
ADPOLY sub-brand essentially follows the same logic as all original factory sub-brands: the native particles are produced by Lotte Chemical with the same grade and the same set of graft polymerization equipment. If some indicators such as the number of polar groups on the molecular chain, melt index, or adhesion slightly deviate from the internal control line during factory inspection, they are classified as a sub-brand. It is not a cheap product mixed with recycled material, nor is it a downgraded formula.
The four main sources are still the same four: scrap from the start and end of production, transitional material when changing grades, batches with occasional indicator drift due to process fluctuations, and leftover material from secondary lines. We need to clarify the boundary with recycled material: recycled material refers to the compound film scraps from your factory being re-pelletized, with the adhesive layer and substrate mixed together, the distribution of polar groups already messed up, making it impossible to control the adhesion when used for adhesive layers; as for reprocessed material, it goes without saying that the fluctuation is large. Off-grade material consists of clean particles from the first polymerization by the original manufacturer, and the batches are traceable. Regarding packaging, there are bulk and small packages, all in the original manufacturer's original packaging.
Lotte Chemical ADPOLY: Two lines based on PP and PE, if the base materials don’t match, they will separate into layers
The main character is Rakuten Chemical. ADPOLY is an adhesive resin developed using its proprietary technology, available in both PP-based and PE-based forms. Grades like the BP series and CM series are widely circulated. PP-based ones like BP-402 are often used for food and industrial films, as well as aluminum composite tubes.
Its secondary film characteristic is that the melt index fluctuation is usually not large, which is sufficient for general composite film bonding layers. Where’s the problem? ADPOLY has two lines, PP-based and PE-based. If the base material doesn’t match your substrate, no matter how strong the adhesion is, it will delaminate — using a PP-based film to bond a PE-based film is just a waste of effort.
Mitsui ADMER: long-established brand, certified for food contact and oil resistance
The second is Mitsui Chemicals' ADMER, which is the world's earliest brand to produce polyolefin adhesive resins and has been around for decades. ADMER can be combined with PP, PE, EVOH, PA, PET, and even metals, and it is commonly used in composite films and automotive fuel systems.
Its secondary brand material has a deep certification track record, and indicators like food contact and oil resistance are stable. Mitsui's approach is to classify grades very specifically, so the adhesive strength needs to match your barrier layer material — if you’re making an EVOH barrier film, use the grade dedicated to EVOH, don’t force a general-purpose grade.
Mitsubishi MODIC: tie layer with peelable seal, price bandwidth
The third is Mitsubishi Chemical’s MODIC. MODIC follows two technological routes: the tie layer plus a peelable seal. There are mature solutions for co-extrusion with PP, PVC, and PA. Its secondary brand circulates quite a bit in cost-sensitive areas like industrial pipes and packaging boards.
The difference between Mitsubishi and Mitsui is: Mitsui has an older brand and complete certifications, while Mitsubishi updates its grades faster and has a wider price range. When choosing a secondary brand among the three, first determine the substrate you want to bond and whether you are using PP wire or PE wire, and then discuss the grade.
Sub-brands like ADPOLY, three pitfalls are the most frustrating
First is the base material issue: PP and PE bases are not distinguished, and they delaminate once processed. Second is the melt index not matching the extrusion line; the grafted material is sensitive to the melt index, and even a slight difference in viscosity results in mismatched layers and uneven adhesive thickness. Third is temperature and chemical resistance mismatch: for high-temperature sterilization films, the adhesive layer must withstand 121 degrees Celsius during sterilization; if tested with regular ambient temperature materials, delamination occurs immediately during sterilization.
In addition, before mixing multiple batches, a sample must be taken for peel strength testing; the peel strength of the composite film is the basis of the entire film. Separate large and small packages properly, and do not put large packages on the small batch test machine.

There is a client in Yueyang who makes food steam-cooked composite films. They had been using the branded ADPOLY, but the adhesive layer accounted for nearly 20% of the film cost, putting pressure on their funds. Later, they switched to a sub-brand of the same grade, and the peeling strength was in the same range as the branded one. After cooking at 121 degrees for half an hour, the layers did not separate, the cost of the adhesive layer was reduced significantly, and the film factory's overall yield remained stable at 93%.
This is the value of choosing a secondary brand for adhesive resin—sufficient bonding strength and temperature resistance are enough; you don’t need to pay for specifications you won’t use. If the base material of ADPOLY adhesive resin is chosen incorrectly, a five-layer composite film will delaminate after three days of curing, with the entire roll of bags splitting from the middle; if the base material is chosen correctly, the peel strength and steam boiling resistance are on par with the main brand, allowing continuous production without rework.
