真相是:再生PEEK这行,真正卡住人的不是价格,是证。
没有证,你耐温做得再匀,品牌客户和整机厂也不敢把你写进合格供应商名录;有了证,同样一吨再生琥珀色PEEK,价格能比无证的高出一截。
这篇把再生PEEK的认证门槛一层层剥开,看看每张证背后到底是多少钱、多少时间、多少料源的功课。
再生PEEK的认证体系,是分层的,一层一道门。
首层是再生含量认证,GRS、ISCC PLUS、UL 2809,证明你这料里真有那么多回收料、链路可追溯;第二层是医疗,ISO 10993加USP Class VI,再加ASTM F2026,证明你敢往人体里放;第三层是食品接触,FDA 21 CFR 177.2415,证明你敢碰食品;第四层是电子电器,UL94天然V-0加RoHS、REACH,证明你敢接品牌整机厂;第五层是航空,OEM那套供应商规范,门槛高得连公开标准都少见。
每一层都是真金白银堆出来的。你想接哪类客户,就得先翻哪道门。
门后面的世界,比门前面贵得多——每一张证,都是高值琥珀再生料的通行证。
但要说清楚一个残酷现实:再生料因为追溯链断裂,医疗、食品这两张证基本保留不住,能稳稳拿到手的,主要是首层的再生含量认证和电子那一层的UL94合规。这也是为什么再生PEEK走的是工业级这条主路——不是不想进高值区,是证真拿不到。
GRS是入场券,UL2809是敲门砖
GRS,全球回收标准,再生含量不低于20%就能申请,但申请下来只是开始。
它不光查你料里有多少回收料,还顺手套上环境、社会、质量一大堆要求,物理链路追溯要四要素齐全,全链条可追溯。再生PEEK做贸易,GRS追溯基本是绕不开的一张证。
品牌客户更认UL 2809——那是把再生含量声明拆开验证,PIR和PCR占比算清楚,区分闭环料和开路料,第三方来人现场审核一整套。它不考核物理性能,但考的是你这料里的再生含量是不是真的、从哪来的。
ISCC PLUS走的是质量平衡路线,欧洲品牌客户常点这个名。
宁波有家做特种工程塑料贸易的客户,之前一直在国内收料拼货,GRS证办了一年多,证书倒是有了,但一家欧洲品牌客户一来审厂,翻料源台账——这一批从哪个回收物出来的、上一任料是谁用的、中间过了几道分选,全说不清,直接把年度单子撤了。后来它把料源整个挪到东南亚——越南那边中资出海的造粒基地、泰国电子代工厂产生的干净PEEK屑料,按GRS和ISCC PLUS两条线走,链路台账一条条补齐,半年后那家欧洲客户复审通过,年度订单反过来翻了一倍。

医疗和植入认证,是修罗场
要进医疗和植入供应链,光有GRS远远不够,那才是修罗场。
医疗这边,ISO 10993生物相容系列加USP Class VI是门票,Victrex的PEEK-OPTIMA、Evonik的VESTAKEEP i4G这些原生植入级牌号就是照着这套体系做的。但再生料原则上不用于医疗主件——可追溯性和生物相容验证两件事,再生料批次波动大,验证做不起。
骨科植入更狠,ASTM F2026《外科植入用聚醚醚酮聚合物标准规范》已经被FDA列为认可的共识标准。长期植入件,法规上必须用原生医疗级树脂。再生料中间过了几道手、料源身份不明,这张证从根上就跟它没关系。
政策这边,欧盟新ELV法规2026/1738强驱动——2032年9月起新车塑料中消费后再生塑料占比不低于15%,2036年9月起不低于25%,只认消费后废料,而且其中至少20%必须来自闭环回收。国内这边,整车厂ESG采购导向已经起来,PEEK树脂本身也有了国标GB/T 41873-2022,但还没有国家强制再生占比法规。
说白了,医疗和植入是听着性感、做着骨感的方向,没有原生牌号的完整台账和一两年的体系积累,别硬闯。
电子和食品接触,是两道天花板
电子电器和食品接触,是再生PEEK认证的两道天花板。
电子这边,UL94 V-0是硬指标。PEEK的极限氧指数大约35%,分子结构本身就阻燃,到1.5mm壁厚就天然V-0,不需要额外加阻燃剂——这是它相对PC、ABS、PA顶硬的一条优势,别家靠加阻燃剂凑,它靠分子本身就达标。RoHS和REACH那套有害物质合规也要跟上。
食品接触这边,FDA 21 CFR 177.2415是PEEK的专项条款,批准特定条件下反复接触食品。这里必须说个很容易搞混的点:PEEK的食品接触通道就是177.2415,不是别的品种的条款号,别张冠李戴。指定牌号原生合规,但再生料没有原生牌号台账,FDA不认再生料的背书,碰不了。中国这边对应的是GB 4806.6和GB 4806.7。
说白了,电子级那道门,PEEK靠分子结构天然占优,再生料只要分选干净就能进;食品级那道门,原生牌号在,再生料别硬闯。
东南亚料源,是琥珀料的护城河
很多人盯着认证本身较劲,其实忘了——认证的根在料源。
RCEP框架下,中国和东盟之间的塑料粒关税一步步降为零,凭Form R原产地证就能享惠。中资改性厂这些年在越南、泰国、马来西亚设厂的一家接一家,本地的再生和造粒基地成规模。越南那边2024年废塑料造粒产能已经做到约68万吨,其中大约65%由中资或中资控股运营。
但要说特种PEEK再生料的东南亚来源,得说句实话:PEEK是超高价小众料,东南亚本地并没有规模化的PEEK聚合产能。它的来源,主要是那一带医疗、电子、汽车代工厂自己生产过程中产生的机加工屑料、水口料,再就是转口过去的欧美日废料。量小、批次散、纯度参差不齐,跟大宗再生塑料完全不是一个量级。海关HS编码项下也不单独披露PEEK再生颗粒的贸易数据,这一块的渠道布局正在加速。
这不是加分项,是护城河——因为GRS、ISCC那些证考的可追溯,根就在这里。料从哪片回收物出来的、经过谁的手,没有这条通道,你编都编不圆。
反过来讲,国内不少做再生PEEK的贸易商,手里有货有账,但拿不出一条连贯的海外料源台账,客户一翻就露馅。这就是为什么同样一吨GRS认证料,有东南亚进口渠道的能多卖一截价——人家卖的不是料,是那本翻得开、对得上、查得清的账。

The truth is: in the recycled PEEK industry, what really holds people in hold is not the price, but the certification.
Without a certificate, no matter how evenly you make temperature resistance, brand clients and OEMs won't dare to list you as a qualified supplier; With a certificate, the price for the same ton of recycled amber PEEK can be a notch higher than unlicensed.

The certification system for recycled PEEK is layered, with each layer having a gate.
The first layer is recycled content certification: GRS, ISCC PLUS, UL 2809, proving that your material really contains a lot of recycled materials and traceable supply chains; The second layer is medical, with ISO 10993 plus USP Class VI plus ASTM F2026, proving you dare to put it into the human body; The third layer is food contact, FDA 21 CFR 177.2415, proving you dare to touch food; The fourth layer is electronics and electrical appliances, with UL94 natural V-0 plus RoHS and REACH, proving you dare to take on brand OEMs; The fifth layer is aviation, with OEM supplier standards so high that even public standards are rare.
Every layer is built with real money. Whatever type of customer you want to serve, you have to first open the door.
The world behind the door is much more expensive than in front of it—every certificate is a pass for high-value amber recycled materials.
But to be clear, a harsh reality: due to broken traceability chains, medical and food certificates basically can't be retained for recycled materials. The only things you can reliably get are the first-tier recycled content certification and the electronics UL94 compliance layer. That's why recycled PEEK follows the industrial-grade main path—not because they don't want to enter high-value zones, but because certification is hard to obtain.
GRS is the entry ticket, UL2809 is the entry
GRS, a global recycling standard, and you can apply for a recycled content of no less than 20%, but getting approved is just the beginning.
It not only checks how much recycled material is in your material, but also applies a host of environmental, social, and quality requirements. Physical traceability requires all four elements, and the entire chain is traceable. For recycled PEEK trade, GRS traceability is basically an unavoidable certificate.
Brand clients prefer UL 2809—that's the process of breaking down the recycled content declaration for verification, clearly calculating the ratio of PIR and PCR, distinguishing between closed-loop and open-circuit materials, and having a third-party on-site audit for a full set. It doesn't assess physical performance, but it tests whether the recycled content in the material is real and where it comes from.
ISCC PLUS follows a mass balance approach, and European brand clients often mention this name.
In Ningbo, a client engaged in special engineering plastics trading has been collecting and consolidating materials domestically. After more than a year of obtaining the GRS certificate, they do have the certificate, but when a European brand client comes to audit the factory, they check the source ledger—which batch of recycled material came from, who used the previous material, how many sorting steps were done, and they just canceled the annual order. Later, it shifted its material sources entirely to Southeast Asia—the Chinese granulation base in Vietnam, and clean PEEK scraps produced by Thai electronics foundries. They followed two lines: GRS and ISCC PLUS, with the chain ledger completed one by one. Six months later, the European client passed the re-examination, and annual orders doubled.
This is the value of Southeast Asian import channels—not just clean materials, but also traceable sources. In the GRS and ISCC systems, they truly serve as money. Medical and implant certification is a battle ground
entering the medical and implant supply chain; GRS alone is far from enough; that is the real battleground.
On the medical side, ISO 10993 biocompatibility series plus USP Class VI is the ticket; Victrex's PEEK-OPTIMA and Evonik's VESTAKEEP i4G are native implant-grade grades made according to this system. But recycled materials are generally not used for medical main components—traceability and biocompatibility verification are two matters, and batch fluctuation in recycled materials is unfeasible to validate.
Orthopedic implants are even more ruthless; ASTM F2026 "Standard Specification for Polyether Ether Ketone Polymers for Surgical Implants" has been recognized by the FDA as a consensus standard. Long-term implants must be regulated with original medical-grade resin. If recycled materials go through several steps or the source identity is unknown, this certificate has nothing to do with it at the root.
On the policy side, the EU's new ELV regulation 2026/1738 strongly drives the process—starting September 2032, the proportion of post-consumer recycled plastics in new car plastics must not be less than 15%, and from September 2036, no less than 25%. Only post-consumer waste is recognized, and at least 20% must come from closed-loop recycling. Domestically, automakers have adopted ESG procurement orientation, and PEEK resin itself has the national standard GB/T 41873-2022, but there is still no mandatory recycled ratio regulation.
To put it bluntly, medical and implant manufacturing are directions that sound sexy but are lean and lean. Without a complete record of original brands or a year or two of system accumulation, don't force your way in.
Electronics and food contact are two ceilings
Electronics and food contact are the two ceilings for recycled PEEK certification.
On the electronics side, UL94 V-0 is a hard standard. PEEK's maximum oxygen index is about 35%, its molecular structure is naturally flame-retardant, and up to 1.5mm wall thickness it naturally has V-0 without the need for additional flame retardants—this is its advantage over PC, ABS, and PA for hardness. While others rely on flame retardants, this one meets the standards on its own molecules. RoHS and REACH hazardous substances compliance also need to keep up.
Food contact here, FDA 21 CFR 177.2415 is a special provision for PEEK, allowing repeated contact with food under specific conditions. Here's a point that's easy to confuse: PEEK's food contact channel is 177.2415, not the clause number for other varieties, so don't mix them up. The designated grade is native compliant, but recycled materials don't have a record of the original grade, so the FDA doesn't recognize the endorsement of recycled materials, so you can't get involved. In China, these correspond to GB 4806.6 and GB 4806.7.
To put it bluntly, at the electronic grade gate, PEEK naturally dominates due to its molecular structure; as long as recycled materials are sorted cleanly, it can be admitted; For food-grade grades, the original grade is present, so don't force your way through recycled materials.
Southeast Asian sources are the moat for amber materials.
Many people focus on certification itself, but they forget that the root of certification lies in the source. Under
RCEP framework, tariffs on plastic pellets between China and ASEAN have gradually been reduced to zero, and with a Form R certificate of origin, you can enjoy the benefits. In recent years, Chinese-funded modification factories have set up one after another in Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, with local recycling and pelletizing bases reaching scale. In Vietnam, in 2024, waste plastic pelletizing capacity has reached about 680,000 tons, with roughly 65% operated by Chinese or Chinese capital controls.
But to tell the truth about the Southeast Asian source of specialty PEEK recycled materials, PEEK is an ultra-high-priced niche material, and there is no large-scale PEEK aggregation capacity locally in Southeast Asia. Its sources mainly come from machined scrap and sprue materials produced by medical, electronics, and automotive OEMs in that area, as well as re-exported waste from Europe, the US, and Japan. Small quantities, scattered batches, and uneven purity are on a completely different scale from bulk recycled plastics. Under the customs HS code, PEEK recycled pellet trade data is not separately disclosed, and channel layout in this area is accelerating
This isn't a bonus, it's a moat—because traceability for GRS and ISCC certifications is rooted here. Where did the material come from and whose hands did it go through? Without this channel, you couldn't even compile a complete story.
Conversely, many domestic traders producing recycled PEEK have goods and accounts but can't produce a coherent overseas source ledger, so customers easily expose their vulnerabilities. That's why the same ton of GRS-certified material with Southeast Asian import channels can sell for a bit more—they're not selling the material, but the account that can be opened, matched, and verified.
Five directions, selecting materials according to certification
Up to here, certification is divided into five commonly used directions:
GRS certified materials, clear recycled content chain, handling branded customers and export orders;
Medical ISO 10993 virgin materials, with ASTM F2026 implant grade, recycled materials that do not touch main components;
UL94 electronic grade materials, natural V-0 with RoHS and REACH complete sets, targeting complete machine manufacturers;
FDA food-grade materials, recognizing 21 CFR 177.2415 original grades, no recycled materials imported;
Aviation OEM certified virgin materials, follow Boeing and Airbus's supplier standards, only buy recycled materials for non-certified parts.
Ordering by certificate is much more reliable than ordering by price.
Selection tips, nine sentences explained
Finally, here's a practical selection tip:
1. When receiving brand clients and exporting, first ask if GRS and ISCC are complete;
2. When buying medical components, make sure to use ISO 10993 plus ASTM F2026 for original medical grade, and avoid recycled materials;
3. For orthopedic implants, don't think about recycled materials; regulations require virgin resin;
4. Connect with electronics manufacturers, verify UL94 natural V-0 and RoHS together;
5. Contact with food, identify 21 CFR 177.2415, do not misapply clause numbers;
6. UL 2809 does not assess performance, but it tests the authenticity of recycled content, which is more effective than verbal promises;
7. Southeast Asian import channels: clarify whether it is a Chinese base or a resale trade;
8. RCEP Form R certificate of origin, ask if the Xianghui channel has been completed;
9. For large-scale supply, first check if you can supply ten batches consecutively, then negotiate the price per batch.
Just these nine rules: select materials according to certification, be confident.
Final thoughts
In the recycled PEEK industry, on the surface, it's all about price; inside, it's about certification and material sources. If the certificate is a shell, it's void if not reviewed after a year; If the supply is not stable, problems can break out within three months.
