再生料装食品?很多人下意识反应:不行,脏。
但现实是:美国FDA早就有章可循,欧盟专门立了法规,允许合规的再生塑料接触食品。中国也在紧锣密鼓推进。
更魔幻的是,汽车级再生PP的门槛,比很多原生料还苛刻。
这篇把两顶"帽子"讲透:它们凭什么贵,怎么才能拿到。
再生PP的天花板有两顶帽子:食品级、汽车级。
戴上食品级,能接触吃的;戴上汽车级,能进主机厂。
这两顶帽子一戴,料的价格直接翻倍——因为它们背后是一整套认证体系,不是洗得干净就行。
食品级:不是洗干净就行,是挑战性测试说了算
食品级再生PP的门槛,核心是"挑战性测试":把料人为污染,再走完整套回收工艺,最后检测污染物残留和迁移量,达标才放行。
美国认FDA 21 CFR 177.1520,欧盟认(EU) 10/2011和(EU) 2022/1616(工艺要EFSA审批),中国对标GB 4806.7,配套标准还在完善。
技术上,超临界CO2萃取等提纯工艺能把回收料做到食品接触级——回收率能做到85%以上。
目前国内具备食品接触级再生PP认证资质的企业约37家,集中在华东华南。市场大,玩家还不多。
汽车级:灰分0.35%,比新料还狠
汽车级再生PP的硬指标,写在GB/T 44362-2025里:灰分≤0.35%、熔指波动±1.2、拉伸强度保留率不低于原生92.5%。
注意,这是"再生料"的门槛——很多原生料的灰分要求都没这么严。
为什么这么严?因为汽车件要过主机厂的整机测试:耐候、耐冲击、低气味、批次一致。任何一个环节掉链子,都是召回级别的事故。
能稳定供货汽车级的厂,全国数得过来。
认证不是一张纸,是一整套体系
拿认证,难的不是那张证书,是背后的体系:料源可追溯、生产全管控、批次全检测、第三方定期审厂。
很多厂卡在"批次一致性":这批灰分0.3%,下批0.8%,认证审核直接不过。
余姚有家做汽车内饰件的厂,想给主机厂供PCR再生PP门板料,试了半年批次波动就是压不住。后来找到宁波市科隆新材料有限公司,越南、泰国、马来西亚、印尼的进口料源全年不断档,加上从料源分级、配方标准化到检测流程重新搭了一遍,批次熔指波动压到±1以内,顺利过了主机厂审厂,订单量翻了一番。

闭环回收:废车变新车
认证料之上,还有一层更高的玩法:闭环回收。
欧盟ELV要求2036年新车再生塑料的20%必须来自报废车闭环——也就是说,回收自己的车,做成自己的新车。
闭环料的优势是料源可控、批次更稳、环保故事更完整,价格也更高。
日本也定了目标:2035年新乘用车可持续塑料利用率15%以上。闭环回收,是认证料之后的下一波红利。
认证等级谱系,越往上越值钱
认证体系里,再生PP的等级谱系大致这样:
食品级:FDA/EU/国内三重路线,认准挑战性测试报告;
汽车级:GB/T 44362-2025,认准主机厂审厂;
医用级:非植入类还在试验阶段,门槛更高;
高熔指纤维级:做无纺布、熔喷基材,走量。
等级越高,门槛越硬,价格越贵,护城河越深。
写在最后:认证通关五步
1. 定目标:食品还是汽车,先选跑道;
2. 控料源:可追溯的废料,是认证的地基;
3. 稳批次:配方标准化,波动压到可控范围;

Recycled materials used for food? Many people instinctively react: No, it's dirty.
But the reality is: the US FDA has long had regulations to follow, and the EU has specifically established regulations allowing compliant recycled plastics to contact food. China is also pushing this forward.
Even more magical, the threshold for automotive-grade recycled PP is even stricter than many virgin materials.
This article explains two "hats": why are they so expensive, and how can you get them?
The ceiling for recycled PP has two hats: food-grade and automotive-grade.
Wearing food-grade means you can access food; Wearing automotive-grade means you can enter OEMs.
Once these two hats are worn, the price of the material doubles—because behind them is a whole certification system, not just clean and clean.
Food-grade: It's not just about cleaning thoroughly; challenge testing is the final decision
The threshold for food-grade recycled PP is the core "challenge test": the material is artificially contaminated, followed by a complete recycling process, and finally contaminant residues and migration levels are tested, only allowing passage if standards are met.
The US recognizes FDA 21 CFR 177.1520, the EU recognizes (EU) 10/2011 and (EU) 2022/1616 (processes require EFSA approval), China benchmarks GB 4806.7, and supporting standards are still being improved.
Technically, supercritical CO2 extraction and other purification processes can bring recycled materials to food contact grade—recovery rates can exceed 85%.
Currently, about 37 domestic companies have food contact-grade recycled PP certification, mainly concentrated in East and South China. The market is large, but there are still few players.
Automotive-grade: 0.35% ash, even tougher than new materials
Automotive-grade recycled PP hard indicators are stated in GB/T 44362-2025: ash content ≤ 0.35%, melt index fluctuation ± 1.2, tensile strength retention rate not less than virgin 92.5%.
Note, this is the threshold for "recycled materials"—many virgin materials have lower ash content requirements.
Why is it so strict? Because automotive parts must pass the OEM complete machine tests: weather resistance, impact resistance, low odor, and batch consistency. Any failure at any stage is considered a recall-level incident.
There are many factories nationwide that can reliably supply automotive-grade products.
Certification isn't just a piece of paper, it's a complete system .
Getting certification isn't the certificate itself, but the underlying system: traceable material sources, full production control, full batch inspection, and third-party regular factory audits.
Many factories are stuck in "batch consistency": this batch has 0.3% ash, the next batch 0.8%, and the certification audit is directly rejected.
Yuyao has a factory specializing in automotive interior parts, wanting to supply PCR recycled PP door panel material to OEMs, but after half a year of testing, batch fluctuations just couldn't be controlled. Later, they found Ningbo Kelong New Materials Co., Ltd., and imported materials from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia were continuously supplied year-round. After rebuilding the process from material grading, formula standardization, to testing, batch melting index fluctuations were suppressed to below ±1, successfully passing OEM inspection, and order volume doubled.
Essentially, certification is a sieve; what is filtered out is a "workshop mindset."
Closed-loop recycling: turning scrap cars into new cars
Beyond certified materials, there's an even higher approach: closed-loop recycling.
The EU ELV requires that by 2036, 20% of recycled plastic in new cars must come from the closed-loop scrap vehicle — in other words, recycling one's own cars to make their own new cars.
The advantages of closed-loop materials are controllable sources, more stable batches, more complete environmental stories, and higher prices.
Japan has also set a target: by 2035, the sustainable plastic utilization rate in new passenger cars will exceed 15%. Closed-loop recycling is the next wave of dividends after certified materials.
Certification level lineage, the higher you go, the more valuable it is
Within the certification system, the recycled PP grade spectrum roughly follows:
Food grade: FDA/EU/domestic triple route, recognizing challenging test reports;
Automotive-grade: GB/T 44362-2025, make sure OEM companies approve ;
Medical grade: Non-implantable products are still in the testing phase, with higher entry barriers;
High melting index fiber grade: For non-woven fabrics and meltblown substrates, focus on volume.
The higher the grade, the stricter the threshold, the higher the price, and the deeper the moat.
