做降解袋吹膜的圈子里,有个每年都要重演一遍的翻车剧本。
开春那批订单催得急,老板一看库存正牌PBS贵得咬手,转头订了一柜便宜的"同级PBS副牌"。上机头三天还行,第四天吹膜车间开始冒烟——熔体强度不够,泡子一边吹一边往下塌,厚薄不均,一卷卷下来全是褶皱。等把货发到客户仓库,人家一测熔点,比要求的低了七八度,整柜退货。
说白了,这不是PBS不行,是你把副牌当成了"便宜的正牌",却没搞懂它到底差在哪一档。今天就把PBS这个品类、全球真正拿得出手的三家国外大厂,以及副牌到底能不能用、怎么用,一次讲透。
PBS是个什么料,凭什么吹得了降解袋
PBS,聚丁二酸丁二醇酯,说白了就是拿丁二酸和丁二醇缩聚出来的一种脂肪族聚酯。它熔点大概在115℃上下,软得接近LDPE,却能在工业堆肥条件下被微生物慢慢吃掉,分解成水和二氧化碳。
有意思的是,它不像PLA那样脆得像干脆面,也不像PBAT那样一味追求软。PBS在拉伸、耐热和加工窗口之间走了个中间路线,吹膜、注塑、做片材都能上手,是降解塑料里少有的"全能打底料"。正因为这个底子,它成了降解购物袋、连卷袋、一次性餐盒里的常客。
全球能把PBS做到稳定量产的国外大厂,掰着手指头数也就那么几家。按海外产能和技术积累排,第一梯队基本是这三家:日本Resonac(原昭和电工)、泰国PTT MCC Biochem(三菱化学技术体系)、韩国IRE Chemical。注意,国内这几年上得很快,但今天只讲非大陆阵营的玩家,金发、蓝晶这些咱们不碰。
副牌这东西,先把概念掰直
讲大厂之前,得先把"副牌"这两个字说清楚,不然又要有人拿它当回料骂。
副牌,指的是同一厂家、同一牌号产品里,出厂检验没有完全踩到正牌技术指标的那一部分。同一锅聚合出来的料,化验单全项合格,贴正牌标签;某一两个指标——比如熔体流动速率、熔点、色相——差了那么一点,就归到副牌档。它还是原厂原生聚合粒子,分子结构跟正牌是一条线上下来的,不是废旧料再造粒。
它从哪来?无非四个口子:装置开停车时头尾那段不稳定料;两个牌号切换中间的过渡料;工艺波动导致个别指标小幅超标的批次;还有副线收尾的尾料。
这里必须把边界划死。正牌是全指标达标、批次稳;副牌是个别指标小幅偏离、基材本身没换;回料/水口料是你自己厂加工边角料回去再造,已经受过一次热;再生料是回收废塑料再造,性能忽上忽下。这四类料,价格差一截,用途差一截,千万别混为一谈。
第一家:Resonac,把Bionolle做成降解塑料老招牌
日本Resonac控股,就是当年的昭和电工。它家的PBS/PBSA统一挂在Bionolle(碧诺)这个牌子下,是这个品类里最早商业化的那一批。
Bionolle做降解袋吹膜有口皆碑,膜泡稳、起霜少,拉伸和抗穿刺都够看。它家副牌的特点是:技术底子厚,过渡料和切换料分得干净,副牌粒子本身的分子量分布和正牌差得不多,常在熔点或熔指这一项上略偏。用在不要求透明、不要求极限耐热的降解袋内衬、连卷袋上,是把好手。大包装小包装都有流通,看你订单量。
第二家:PTT MCC Biochem,把BioPBS卖到全世界
第二家是泰国的PTT MCC Biochem,三菱化学和泰国PTT合资的厂子,主力牌号是BioPBS,技术体系源自三菱化学当年的GS Pla。罗勇府那套装置,在海外算量产规模不小的一档。
BioPBS走的是"生物基可堆肥"路线,客户里做咖啡胶囊涂层、纸杯淋膜、堆肥袋的不少。它家副牌常见的偏离项是生物基含量测算和熔指,正因为指标卡的是认证线,副牌往往在色相或灰分上差一点点。做内包装、非食品直接接触的降解袋,这种副牌性价比很实在。顺带一句,三菱化学近年在调整自有PBS业务布局,但PTT MCC这条合资产线还在正常供货。
第三家:IRE Chemical,韩国人的Enpol
第三家是韩国的IRE Chemical,牌子叫Enpol,在群山那一带做PBS和PBSA。规模跟前两家比不算大,但胜在产品线全,膜级、注塑级都有。
它家副牌的特点是批次差异相对明显,熔指和断裂伸长率偶尔会跳出正牌区间。这种料不能上来就冲高要求制品,但拿去配色、做填充改性的母料基料,或者跟其他降解料掺混做一般结构件,完全够用。价格也比前两家温柔一些。
副牌怎么挑,才不会吹出一柜褶皱
PBS副牌好用,但坑也真不少。第一条,先看偏离项是什么。熔点偏低,吹膜就塌;熔指偏高,制品壁厚就飘。别只看"便宜"两个字,先问清楚这一柜副牌到底哪一项没踩线。
第二条,按用途匹配。要吹薄袋、要高透明、要进食品级认证的,老老实实上正牌;要做内衬、内衬袋、非直接接触的包装,副牌够使。第三条,留样对批。每批副牌进厂留样,测熔点、测熔指、跑一次小试膜,数据对上了再放大量产。
这里说句实在话。山东泰安有家做降解连卷袋的客户,之前一直拿正牌PBS扛成本,一卷袋的材料费压不下来,报价总比同行高一块。后来换了Resonac同牌号副牌,先做小试膜,把熔点和熔指卡在合格区间,量产之后袋膜厚薄均匀,塌泡率从原来的一成二压到百分之零点几,一吨料省下的差价落到报价上,订单反而多接了两成。这就是选型的价值——不是赌便宜,是把副牌的偏差项跟你的用途对上。宁波市科隆新材料有限公司做进口降解料副牌这块年头不短,类似的账每年帮客户算很多遍。

In the degradable bag blowing film community, there's a repeating failure scenario every year.
The spring batch of orders was urgent, and the boss saw the stock of genuine PBS was so expensive it was hard to accept, so he immediately ordered a cheap box of "PBS sub-brand in the same grade." The first three days after loading the machine were fine, but on the fourth day, smoke started coming from the film blowing workshop—the melt strength wasn't strong enough, the bubbles collapsed as they blew and collapsed, uneven thickness, and a roll was full of wrinkles. When the goods arrived at the customer's warehouse, they tested the melting point and found it was seven or eight degrees lower than required, so the whole container was returned.
To put it bluntly, it's not that PBS is bad, but that you treat the secondary brand as the "cheap genuine brand" but don't understand which level it is off. Today, let's thoroughly explain the PBS category, the three truly prominent foreign manufacturers worldwide, as well as whether their sub-brands can be used and how to use them. What kind of material is
PBS, and why can it be called a degradable
PBS bag ? Polybutylene soylate, in other words, is a polycondensation of succinic acid and butylene glycol into an aliphatic polyester. Its melting point is around 115°C, and it's as soft as LDPE, but under industrial composting conditions, microorganisms slowly consume it and break it down into water and carbon dioxide.
Interestingly, it's not as crispy as PLA, like crispy noodles, nor is it as soft as PBAT. PBS takes a middle ground between stretching, heat resistance, and processing windows. It can handle film blowing, injection molding, and sheet making, making it one of the few "all-round base materials" in degradable plastics. Because of this foundation, it has become a regular in degradable shopping bags, roll bags, and disposable lunch boxes.
There are only a handful of major foreign companies worldwide that can achieve stable mass production of PBS. Based on overseas capacity and technical accumulation, the top tier basically consists of these three: Japan's Resonac (formerly Showa Denko), Thailand's PTT MCC Biochem (Mitsubishi Chemical Technology System), and Korea's IRE Chemical. Note, domestic products have been rising rapidly in recent years, but today we will only talk about non-mainland players; we won't touch brands like Jinfa or Lanjing.
Secondary brand is something you need to clarify first
Before talking about big brands, you need to clearly explain the two words "secondary brand," or else people will criticize it as recycled material.
Secondary brand refers to the part of the same manufacturer or grade of product that hasn't fully met the technical specifications of the genuine brand during factory inspection. Material produced from the same pot is all qualified in the test report and labeled as genuine; If one or two indicators—like melt flow rate, melting point, hue—differ by a slight margin, it is classified as a secondary brand. It is still original factory original polymer particles, with molecular structure aligned with genuine brand, not recycled material made into pellets.
Where does it come from? There are basically four points: unstable material at the end of the unit when starting and stopping; Transition material in the middle between two grades; Batch material with slight exceedances caused by process fluctuations; And leftover material at the end of the secondary line.
Here, the boundaries must be clearly marked. Genuine material means all indicators meet standards and the batch is stable; Secondary brand has slight deviations in some indicators and the substrate itself hasn't been replaced; Recycled/sprue material is your own factory processed scrap material and reprocessed, having already undergone one heating; Recycled material is recycled waste plastic and remade, with performance fluctuating. These four types of materials differ in price and use, so don't confuse them.
First: Resonac, turning Bionolle into a degradable plastic old brand
Japan's Resonac Holdings, which was Showa Denko's back then. Their PBS/PBSA is uniformly listed under the Bionolle brand, making it one of the earliest commercialized products in this category.
Bionolle is highly praised for its degradable bag film blowing, stable film foaming, minimal frosting, and impressive stretch and puncture resistance. The characteristics of its sub-brand are: solid technical foundation, clear separation between transition and switching materials, and the molecular weight distribution of sub-brand particles is not much different from the genuine brand, often slightly offset in melting point or melting finger. Used on degradable bag linings and continuous roll bags that do not require transparency or extreme heat resistance, they are a master handler. Both large and small packages are available, depending on your order volume.
The second company: PTT MCC Biochem, selling BioPBS worldwide
The second company is PTT MCC Biochem in Thailand, a joint venture between Mitsubishi Chemical and PTT Thailand, with the main grade being BioPBS, and its technical system originating from Mitsubishi Chemical's former GS Pla. The Rayong Province facility is considered a fairly large-scale mass production system overseas.
BioPBS follows the "bio-based compostable" route, with many customers making coffee capsule coatings, paper cup coatings, and compost bags. A common deviation for their secondary brands is bio-based content measurement and melting index because the indicators are based on certification lines, so secondary brands often differ slightly in hue or ash content. They make degradable bags for inner packaging and non-food direct contact. This sub-brand offers great value for money. By the way, Mitsubishi Chemical has been adjusting its PBS business layout in recent years, but the PTT MCC joint venture line is still supplying products normally.
Third company: IRE Chemical, Korean's Enpol
The third company is Korea's IRE Chemical, brand Enpol, producing PBS and PBSA in the Gunsan area. Its scale isn't large compared to the previous two, but its advantage is a complete product line, including film-grade and injection molding grades.
's sub-brand is characterized by relatively obvious batch differences, with melt finger and elongation at break occasionally exceeding the official brand's range. You can't rush to high product requirements with this material, but it's more than enough for color matching, masterbatch modification, or mixing with other degradable materials for general structural parts. The price is also a bit more moderate than the previous two.
How to choose a secondary brand so it doesn't wrinkle a cabinet
PBS The secondary brand is good to use, but it has plenty of pitfalls. First, look at the deviation criteria. If the melting point is low, the film will collapse when blown out; If the melting index is high, the product wall thickness will float. Don't just look at the word "cheap"—first clarify which item of the secondary brand in this cabinet doesn't cross the line.
Second, match according to usage. If you want to blow thin bags, have high transparency, or pass food-grade certification, honestly get the official brand; For lining, lining bags, and non-direct contact packaging, sub-brands are sufficient. Third, sample retention and batch-to-batch reserve. Each batch of sub-brand is sent to the factory for sample retention, melting point and index measured, and a small test film run. Once the data matches, mass production begins.
To be honest here. In Tai'an, Shandong, a client who makes degradable continuous roll bags previously used genuine PBS to offset costs, but the material cost per roll bag couldn't be lowered, so the quote was always one yuan higher than competitors. Later, they switched to Resonac sub-brand of the same grade, first making small test films, setting melting points and melting fingers within the qualified range. After mass production, the bag film thickness became uniform, and the bubble collapse rate dropped from 12% to just over 0.0%. The price difference saved per ton was reflected in the quotation, but the orders were actually 20% higher. This is the value of selection—not betting on cheapness, but matching the deviation of the secondary brand with your intended use. Ningbo Kelong New Materials Co., Ltd. has been doing imported degradable material sub-brands for quite some time, and they do similar calculations for clients many times a year.

3. Test melting point and melting index first, blow samples first, and then scale up after matching the previous batch;
4. Identify original factory virgin particles; don't treat recycled materials as side cards to pick up bargains.
