PAE (Polyamide thermoplastic elastomer, also known as TPAE or PEBA) is a linear block copolymer composed of crystalline polyamide hard segments and amorphous polyether or polyester soft segments. The hard segment of polyamide provides strength and heat resistance, while the soft segment of polyether provides flexibility and low-temperature impact resistance. PAE's performance falls between rubber and engineering plastics, offering resistance to wear, oil, and flexural fatigue, and is widely used in high-end sports shoe soles, medical catheters, cable sheaths, precision seals, and more.

PAE is niche because of its extremely high technical barrier—only a few companies worldwide, such as France's Pebax, Germany's Evonik, and Japan's Ube Kosan, can mass-produce it. The domestic market has long relied entirely on imports, with prices remaining high.

PAE sub-brand enters factories: hardness and rebound dual testing

First, hardness and rebound rate test. The core indicators of PAE sub-brands are Shore hardness and rebound rate. Hardness deviation affects material feel and application scenarios, while rebound rate affects fatigue performance. Before purchase, suppliers are required to provide hardness and rebound data for the same batch, and retested after arrival. High-end sports equipment is accepted according to genuine standards.

Second, conduct bending fatigue tests. PAE's core selling point is resistance to bending fatigue. After receiving secondary brand PAE, perform 100,000 bending fatigue tests to check for cracks or permanent deformation. If fatigue performance does not meet standards, it indicates material degradation or damage to block structures.

Third, grade by application. High-end sports shoe soles and medical catheters should be genuine and reliable; General seals, cable sheaths, and ordinary sports equipment can use secondary brands. Do not use secondary brands on high-end sports equipment—if the rebound rate is insufficient, consumers will wear them twice and the brand reputation will be affected.
