The wear of sneaker outsoles is measured according to DIN 53516, and the volume loss must be <150mm³ to pass. TPR outsoles wear 200-300mm³, TPU outsoles 80-120mm³—look at wear volume to judge outsole durability, not just tensile strength.

The bond strength of outsoles and midsoles should be checked at 2.5kN/m or above; delamination is the main after-sales issue.

TPR outsoles and EVA midsoles have different polarities. Only by choosing the correct surface treatment agent can the peel strength be achieved—if delamination occurs, first check the surface treatment, don’t blame the adhesive.
