Old Zheng opened a blown film factory in Cangnan, Wenzhou, mainly producing agricultural film and packaging film. Last month, the foreign trade order was canceled at the last minute, and the client said the budget was cut. The few bags of Daqing 2426H blown film granules and two bags of 1C7A laminated material in the warehouse had been sitting on the pallet for almost half a year. The letters on the bags were all worn out, and the warehouse manager spent a long time flipping through the ledger before realizing it was the batch from last year.
Orders vanished like they did; materials don't just turn into money on their own.
What's pressed on the warehouse isn't the goods, but the rent and wages you owe.
LDPE this stuff, to put it bluntly, is for making film—soft, tough, and smooth. What is it afraid of? Afraid of piling up, afraid of moisture, afraid of mixing with LLDPE. It's the same as flour stored in a damp warehouse—the material itself isn't spoiled, but if it absorbs moisture, it easily produces crystalline spots and holes when blown out the film. What's even more troublesome is that LDPE comes in many colors—natural transparent, milky white, black laminated materials piled together. Dealers grab a handful and take a look, then just buy at the standard price, leaving you no chance to speak.
Film material isn't expensive, but the volume is huge—one tray per ton, ten trays equals ten tons, and the capital pressure is suffocating. What's even more troublesome is that when LDPE and LLDPE are placed together, you can't tell by eye, you have to measure melt index and tensile strength. Sellers don't understand this, so they grab it and take a look, then calculate it as PE for wholesale, and the good material sells at a scrap price.
Here's a true story, Old Zheng once contacted a scrap collector. The other party drove a small truck over, circled the warehouse, and said, "Your LDPE is too common, you know the market price," and immediately offered a floor price. Old Zheng asked why it was so low, and the other party shrugged, "Even if I buy this material, I just resell it to the pelletizing plant. Shouldn't I add some extra labor fees?" Old Zheng finally realized—the supplier isn't even a terminal, just a scalper. After collecting his materials, he sells them to the next supplier, making a profit from both sides.
The wholesaler isn't making money from the materials, but from the resale. You might think he's helping you handle inventory, but he's actually practicing with your materials to earn the price difference.
To put it bluntly, the price he gives you is always the price he sells to the next seller, then slashes again.
Kelong New Materials follows a terminal digestion route for LDPE recycling. 2426H is a general-grade blown film material that downstream blown film factories and composite film factories have always used. After grading and receiving it, they are directly taken away without inventory pressure. For subgrades like 1C7A laminated material, 2426F, and 18D, we also accept niche materials that are processed into our own modified granulation formula, regardless of grade or batch. It's similar to feed mixing: main materials are used, auxiliary materials are mixed in, and every material has its place.
Pricing is based on melting index, blown film grade, and appearance grading. Clean materials are offered at good prices, while slightly damp ones are accepted as modified materials. With our own production capacity and long-term customers as a backup, our quotes don't fluctuate wildly with market trends—we don't buy today and turn tomorrow.
Bulk materials aren't cheap; you just sold them in the wrong place. Old Zheng now says this to everyone.
The five-step cooperation process: material submission, graded evaluation, on-site pickup, deduction of payment, settlement and invoice. That's how Old Zheng handled the batch—he took photos and sent them to the market, labeling 2426H as about ten tons and 1C7A as three tons. After we appraised and quoted the price, we arranged a time for a home weighing. The recycling payment was directly deducted from next month's purchase of KONICE modified plastic, totaling about 40,000 yuan. After clearing out a row from the warehouse, he finally didn't have to worry about that pile of gray bags by the end of the month.
The essence of recycling is turning the material piled on the ground back into cash that can be turned. Old Zheng later told his peers about this, and they finally understood—it turns out LDPE isn't worthless, it's just that they haven't found the right people to truly use it.
Currently, the recyclable LDPE grades include Daqing Petrochemical 2426H, 2426F, 18D; Yanshan Maoming 1C7A, 2426H; and China Overseas Shell 2426H, among other mainstream numbers; Other grades like Liander Basel Lupolen series and ExxonMobil are based on actual appraisal. In terms of form, they collect: obsolete original packaging, film blowing sprue nozzles, coating edges and corners, machine head material, waste film rolls, and inventory scrap materials. This pigment and black material are packaged separately, and the grading price can be a notch higher.
Three common misconceptions, here is a reminder —
"LDPE is everywhere, not worth much?" "The truth is that materials with large circulation actually sell faster. The key is to find the right end and not be treated as bulk goods by dealers."
"Is moisture considered waste?" "The truth is that even mild moisture can be used for modification and pelletizing, but selling it as junk is the real loss."
"Whoever sells at the highest price?" "The truth is that people quote high prices over the phone and bargain on the spot, so comparing prices with the three companies actually results in losses."
