这个问题一搜，从六块五一公斤到十四块一一公斤，报价差得比透明度还多。有人说我买的六块五的台化GP5250用得挺好，有人说我买的十四的奇美PG-22才叫高透明。到底差在哪？
说实话，问GPPS多少钱一公斤的人，大概率还没搞懂GPPS这东西不是一个料——通用级、高透明级、食品级、挤出级、高流动级，每个分支价格都不一样。你拿通用级的价和高透明比，那不叫比价，叫被忽悠。
GPPS就是通用聚苯乙烯，透明、易加工、绝缘好，常用于日用品、包装、玩具、CD盒、食品容器。

二、同是GPPS，价差凭什么这么大
GPPS的价格差，主要藏在四个地方。
第一，透明度不同。通用级透明度一般价格便宜，高透明级透光率90%以上价格贵。透明容器必须高透明。
第二，熔指不同。低熔指适合挤出价格适中，高熔指适合薄壁和复杂结构价格略高。熔指决定加工方式。
第三，用途不同。通用级便宜，食品级/医用级贵。特殊用途需要特殊认证。
第四，品牌和产地。进口溢价高但批次稳定，国产性价比高但质量参差。同样是透明级，奇美比中石化贵30-40%，贵的是品控和研发。
三、采购避坑：别让透明度骗了你
我见过太多采购，比价比到最后选了最便宜的六块五的，然后做出来的制品黄变、应力开裂、客户退货，一次损失够买半年的好料。
GPPS采购这行，水比你想的深。三个坑必须绕开：
第一，看熔指和透光率不看牌号。同一个牌号不同批次性能可能波动，拿到料先测熔指和透光率，和COA对得上再用。别听销售说"差不多"，差不多就是差很多。
第二，警惕以次充好。有些贸易商拿HIPS当GPPS卖，拿回收料当新料卖。要COA、要透光率检测、要原厂包装，三证合一才敢用。
第三，别只比单价，算综合成本。A料单价6.5块，做出来次品率5%；B料单价10块，次品率1%。算到每件制品上，B料反而更便宜。
四、标准牌号满足不了？看看改性方案

How much is GPPS per kilogram?
Quotes range from CNY 6.5/kg to CNY 14.1/kg. GPPS (general-purpose polystyrene) is not one material: general, high-transparency, food-grade, extrusion and high-flow grades each carry a different price. Comparing a general-purpose quote with a high-transparency one is not price comparison; it is how you get fooled.
GPPS is transparent, easy to process and offers good insulation; it is used in daily products, packaging, toys, CD cases and food containers.

2. Why prices differ so much
Four factors: (1) Transparency — general grades are cheap; high-transparency grades above 90% light transmittance cost more; transparent containers demand them. (2) Melt flow index — low MFI suits extrusion at mid-price; high MFI suits thin-wall and complex structures at a slightly higher price. (3) Application — general is cheap; food/medical grades need special certification. (4) Brand and origin — for the same transparent grade, Chi Mei costs 30-40% more than Sinopec, paying for quality control and R&D.
3. Procurement pitfalls
The cheapest material often causes yellowing or stress cracking, triggering returns. Three traps to avoid:
First, test MFI and light transmittance against the COA instead of trusting the grade name. Second, watch for substitution: some traders sell HIPS as GPPS or recycled as virgin; demand the COA, a transmittance test and original packaging. Third, calculate total cost: A at CNY 6.5/kg with a 5% defect rate vs. B at CNY 10/kg with 1% — B is cheaper per part.
4. Standard grades not enough? Consider modified compounds
If you need flame retardancy AND high transparency, reinforcement AND low cost — you need modified GPPS.
