很多做压敏胶的采购,以为自己买的是“胶粒”,其实买的是“运气”。
同样叫SIS,一吨从一万二到三万五都有。便宜的做出来,初粘倒是够,持粘三天就脱胶;贵的持粘一年不脱,但成本压不住。中间差的是什么?不是胶粒本身,是SIS牌号里那点苯乙烯含量和二嵌段比例。
金华有家做双面胶和标签胶的厂,前年图便宜拿了一批国产SIS,做出来的不干胶贴在保温杯上,夏天一晒就卷边,客户退货率12%。去年换了进口正牌,一吨三万多,毛利直接砍半。后来在圈子里打听才知道——SIS副牌里,藏着一条别人不知道的成本路。

SIS是什么?天生为压敏胶生的热塑性弹性体
SIS,全称苯乙烯-异戊二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物,是热塑性弹性体(TPE)家族里的“胶黏派”。它的分子链像三明治——两头是硬的苯乙烯段,中间是软的异戊二烯段。常温下苯乙烯段物理交联,材料有强度;加热后苯乙烯段熔融,材料能流动。
这东西天生就是为压敏胶生的——初粘好、持粘稳、常温压一下就能贴上,还能用热熔工艺加工。双面胶、标签胶、卫生巾胶、汽车线束胶,一大半都是SIS做的。
全球做SIS的国外头部企业,按市场份额排:

SIS副牌:原厂原生三嵌段粒子,不是回收胶粒
SIS副牌的逻辑,和其他热塑性弹性体一致,但压敏胶这个场景有它自己的脾气。
SIS副牌的真身:原厂在装置开停车、牌号切换、工艺波动时,那批个别指标(比如苯乙烯含量、二嵌段含量、熔体流动速率)小幅偏离正牌的那一档。分子结构和正牌一致,都是苯乙烯-异戊二烯-苯乙烯三嵌段,只是出厂检验时某一项没踩线。
四大来源:开停车头尾料、牌号切换过渡料、工艺波动批次、副线尾料。
边界画清楚:正牌SIS全指标达标,批次稳定,做高端双面胶、医用压敏胶、汽车内饰胶;副牌SIS个别指标小幅浮动,做普通标签胶、文具胶、包装胶带;回料SIS已经过一次热历史,分子链降解,初粘持粘双双掉档;再生SIS性能波动大,只能做低端热熔胶棒。

科腾 Kraton——SIS这个品类的祖师爷
科腾是当年壳牌化学弹性体部门分拆出来的,Kraton D系列就是SIS这个品类的开山招牌。D1161、D1163这些牌号,做高端双面胶和医用压敏胶的人都熟。
科腾的优势是垂直整合——从苯乙烯单体到嵌段聚合全链条自己做,分子结构控制得稳,二嵌段含量低,持粘性能在行业里是硬通货。
副牌特点:科腾副牌多从D系列的过渡料里出,苯乙烯含量通常在±2%以内浮动,初粘和持粘不会同时掉,只是某一项略飘。适合做普通标签胶、文具胶、包装胶带,不适合做高端医用胶和汽车内饰高端胶。包装以小包装为主(20KG纸袋),大包装也有流通。
台橡 TSRC——亚太区压敏胶的熟面孔
台橡在高雄和新竹都有产能,VECTOR系列在亚太压敏胶市场渗透率极高。VECTOR 4111、4211这些牌号,做不干胶标签和双面胶的厂都在用。台橡的特点是货期短、性价比好,配方兼容性在国内胶厂圈子里口碑硬。
副牌特点:台橡副牌常见的是熔指略飘(±2以内)或苯乙烯含量略低,但三嵌段结构完整,初粘持粘比例均衡。金华那家双面胶厂后来换的就是VECTOR副牌,持粘从三天不脱拉到三个月不脱,卷边率从8%压到0.5%以内。
日本瑞翁 Zeon——Quintac,日系精密派
日本瑞翁的Quintac系列,在日系压敏胶和汽车内饰胶里用得很多。Quintac 3421、3433这些牌号,特点是分子量分布窄、二嵌段含量控制得低,做出来的胶透明度高、气味低。
副牌特点:瑞翁副牌的指标偏离幅度小,但价格比科腾和台橡略高一档,货期在国内不如前两家稳。适合做对气味和透明度有要求的高端标签胶、文具胶内销级产品。
SIS副牌这三个坑,胶厂踩一个就整批退货
SIS副牌用在压敏胶上,坑特别多。
第一坑:拿SBS副牌冒充SIS副牌。SBS是苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯,和SIS差一个单体——丁二烯换异戊二烯。SBS做出来的胶初粘差、持粘低,冬天一冻就脆。很多新手采购分不清,买回去一上机才发现胶不对。分辨方法:SIS粒子偏黄、捏起来偏软;SBS粒子偏白、捏起来偏韧。
第二坑:把再生SIS当副牌卖。再生SIS经过两次热历史,分子链降解,初粘持粘双双掉档,做出来的胶三个月就脱。分辨方法:原厂副牌粒子均匀、颜色一致;再生料发暗、有黑点、粒度不齐。
第三坑:不分用途乱上。副牌二嵌段含量略高,就别做要求持粘一年以上的高端胶;做普通标签胶和文具胶,副牌刚好。
验收动作:进厂测三项——苯乙烯含量、二嵌段含量、熔体流动速率,留样封袋。压敏胶对这三项最敏感,一项都不能省。

SIS? Thermoplastic elastomer
SIS, born from pressure-sensitive rubber , is styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, and is the "adhesive camp" in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) family. Its molecular chain is like a sandwich—hard styrene segments at both ends, and soft isoprene segments in the middle. At room temperature, the styrene segments are physically crosslinked, giving the material strength; When heated, the styrene segments melt and the material can flow.
This thing is naturally made for pressure-sensitive adhesives—initially good bonding, stable adhesion, can be applied with a press at room temperature, and can also be processed using hot-melt technology. Double-sided tape, label adhesive, sanitary napkin adhesive, automotive wiring harness glue—more than half are made from SIS.

SIS sub-brand: The original factory's original three-block particles, not recycled plastic pellets
SIS sub-brand, consistent with other thermoplastic elastomers, but the pressure-sensitive adhesive scenario has its own temperament.
SIS sub-brand's true nature: During plant startup/shutdown, grade switching, or process fluctuations, the factory slightly deviates from the genuine brand's specific indicators (such as styrene content, two-block content, melt flow rate). The molecular structure matches the genuine brand, all styrene-isoprene-styrene three-block components, except one item was missed during factory inspection.
Four major sources: start-stop head and tail materials, grade switching transition materials, process fluctuation batches, auxiliary line tailings.
Boundaries are clear: genuine SIS meets all indicators, batches are stable, used for high-end double-sided tape, medical pressure-sensitive adhesives, and automotive interior adhesives; Sub-brand SIS has slight fluctuations in some indicators, used for regular label glue, stationery glue, and packaging tape; Recycled SIS has already gone through a thermal history, with molecular chains degrading and initial adhesive both failing; Recycled SIS performance fluctuates greatly and can only be made into low-end hot melt glue sticks.
In short: SIS sub-brand consists of original factory three-block particles, not recycled glue for pelletizing.
Keteng Kraton—the pioneer of the SIS category
Keton was spun off from Shell's chemical elastomers division back then, and the Kraton D series is the flagship of the SIS category. Grades like D1161 and D1163 are familiar to those making high-end double-sided tape and medical pressure-sensitive adhesives.
Keteng's advantage is vertical integration—from styrene monomers to block polymerization, the entire chain is handled in-house, molecular structure is stable, bi-block content is low, and its adhesion performance is hard currency in the industry.
Subbrand Features: Keteng's sub-brand mostly comes from the D series transition materials, with styrene content usually fluctuating within ±2%. Both initial and long-stick adhesives do not fall off simultaneously, only one type is slightly loose. Suitable for making regular label glue, stationery glue, and packaging tape, not suitable for high-end medical adhesive or high-end automotive interior glue. Packaging is mainly small (20KG paper bags), but large packages are also available.
TSRC TSRC—A familiar face in pressure-sensitive adhesives in the Asia-Pacific region
TSRC has production capacity in Kaohsiung and Hsinchu, and the VECTOR series has a very high penetration rate in the Asia-Pacific pressure-sensitive adhesive market. Brands like VECTOR 4111 and 4211 are used by factories making adhesive labels and double-sided tape. Taiwan Rubber is characterized by short lead times and good cost performance, with a strong reputation among domestic rubber manufacturers for formula compatibility.
Subbrand Features: Common sub-brands of Taiwan Rubber have slightly floating melt fingers (within ±2) or slightly lower styrene content, but complete three-block structure and balanced initial bonding and stickiness. The double-sided tape factory in Jinhua later switched to the VECTOR subbrand, which lasts from three days without peeling to three months, with edge curling rate reduced from 8% to within 0.5%.
Japan Zeon—Quintac, Japanese precision school
Japan Zeon's Quintac series is widely used in Japanese pressure-sensitive adhesives and automotive interior adhesives. Grades like Quintac 3421 and 3433 are characterized by narrow molecular weight distribution and low control of two-block content, resulting in adhesives with high transparency and low odor.
Subbrand features: The sub-brand of Zeon has small deviation in specifications, but its price is slightly higher than Keteng and Taixiang, and its domestic delivery times are less stable than the top two. It is suitable for producing high-end label and stationery glue products that require scent and transparency, making it a domestically export-grade product.
SIS sub-brand—if a rubber factory steps on one, the whole batch will be returned
SIS. Sub-brands are used for pressure-sensitive glue, causing many pitfalls.
First pitfall: Using SBS sub-brands to pass off as SIS sub-brands. SBS is styrene-butadiene-styrene, differing from SIS by one monomer—butadiene swapped for isoprene. SBS glue has poor initial adhesion and low adhesion, but becomes brittle in winter. Many beginners can't tell the difference, only realizing the glue is wrong when they use the machine. How to distinguish: SIS particles are yellowish and soft when squeezed; SBS granules are whiter and tougher when pinched.
Second pitfall: Selling recycled SIS as a secondary brand. After two thermal cycles, the molecular chains of recycled SIS degrade, causing both initial adhesive and stickiness to drop off, and the finished adhesive will fall off within three months. Identification method: The original sub-brand has uniform particle and color; The recycled material is dark, has black spots, and uneven particle size.
Third pitfall: Applied randomly regardless of use. If the secondary brand has slightly higher secondary block content, don't make high-end glue that requires adhesion lasting over a year; Use regular label glue and stationery glue; the secondary brand is just right.
Acceptance action: Measure three items upon arrival—styrene content, double block content, melt flow rate, and seal the bag with samples. Pressure-sensitive glue is most sensitive to these three and cannot be skipped either.
