PA66这个行当,水比你想象的深。
同样叫"PA66副牌",有人按正牌七折报价,有人按回料价倾销,一吨差价能拉出大几千。你问他哪家厂出的,张口就是"杜邦""巴斯夫",翻袋子一看,拼音都拼错了位。
更离谱的是熔指。标称和正牌同一牌号,上机一烘,流动性忽快忽慢,一批件打得满模飞边,下一批又充不满模腔。老板骂采购,采购骂供应商,供应商拍桌子说"这就是副牌,你要求别那么高"。
说白了,不是副牌不能用,是太多人把"副牌"这两个字当成了什么都能装的筐。这篇就把PA66的底裤扒干净:这锅料到底从哪条聚合线下来的,差在哪几家国外大厂之间,副牌又该怎么挑。
02 硬骨头的命门,攥在三家手里
PA66,聚酰胺66,工程塑料里的"硬骨头"。
这东西密度不低、吸水率偏高,但耐热、耐油、扛疲劳,汽车引擎盖下的连接件、电子连接器、电器开关,一堆要求高强度又耐温的件都离不开它。玻纤一加30%,热变形温度能顶到两百多度,尺寸还稳。
全球PA66的供应,长期被几家上游一体化的巨头攥在手里。原因不复杂:PA66的命门在己二腈,这玩意儿技术门槛高、投资大,不是谁都能做。按产能和市场份额两个口径交叉看,排在前面的国外大厂主要是这三家:英威达、奥升德、巴斯夫。
英威达背靠科氏工业,己二腈到聚合全产业链自己说了算,产能口径全球靠前;奥升德是北美一体化龙头;巴斯夫则是欧洲的标杆。这三家,基本把全球PA66的上游命脉焊死了。
03 副牌不是回料,是体检飘红
说副牌之前,先把概念掰扯清楚。
PA66副牌,不是回料,更不是再生料。它是同一厂家、同一牌号生产线上,出厂检验时个别指标没完全达到正牌标准的那一部分——熔指飘一点、色相差一点、或者灰分偏一档。分子结构和正牌是一锅出来的,只是体检报告上个别指标飘了红。
副牌从哪来?主要四个口子:一是装置开停车时的头尾料,开车初期和停车收尾那段,工艺不稳定;二是牌号切换时的过渡料,从A牌号切到B牌号,中间那段胶两边都不算纯;三是工艺波动导致个别指标小幅超标的批次;四是副线尾料。
这里必须划条线:正牌全指标达标、批次稳;副牌个别指标小幅浮动、基材和正牌一致;回料是加工边角料再造粒,已经受过一次热历史;再生料是废旧塑料回收造粒,性能波动大。这四样东西,价格差一截,用途也差一截。你拿副牌去做认证件,是冒险;你拿回料去做连接器,那是玩命。
04 英威达:上游一体化的源头厂
先说英威达(INVISTA)。
这家厂是干什么的?它从杜邦尼龙事业部分出来,2003年杜邦尼龙业务并入英威达,现在归科氏工业旗下。PA66这门生意的上游核心己二腈,英威达有自己的专利工艺,全球供应量排得上号。产能口径上,英威达在美国、英国、法国和上海漕泾都有基地,上海那条线主打TORZEN系列,年聚合产能在数十万吨级别。
它的代表牌号,国内流通较多的是TORZEN系列和U系列,比如U4820L、U4800这类纯树脂级。这些料本色干净、流动性均匀,是连接器和电器件常用的底子。
英威达的副牌,特点是"底子稳"。因为它上游己二腈自己产,原料批次波动小,副牌主要差在熔指或色相这种小幅指标上,分子本身没毛病。做内件、配色件、一般结构件,用它的副牌,风险可控。
05 奥升德:连接器圈子的熟脸
再说奥升德(Ascend Performance Materials)。
这家是北美PA66一体化的老牌子,从己二腈到聚合到改性化合物一条龙。市场份额口径上常年稳居全球前列,电子电气领域尤其强势——它家Vydyne系列光UL认证就有上百个等级。
代表牌号商标就是Vydyne®。国内做连接器的圈子里,21SPC、21SPF、R530这些牌号几乎是"熟面孔":21系列是通用注塑级,韧性好;R530是30%玻纤增强,做结构件;还有ECO366H这类阻燃级,专攻薄壁电子件。
奥升德的副牌,特点是"认证底子厚"。因为正牌本来就大量过UL、VDE认证,副牌虽然个别指标没贴正牌标签,但基材还是那套认证体系下出来的。用在非认证的内构件、替代结构件上,它的副牌性价比很突出。
06 巴斯夫:批次匀得让你省心
第三家,巴斯夫(BASF)。
德国化工巨头,PA66在它家叫Ultramid®,PA66对应的是Ultramid A系列。巴斯夫同样往上游延伸,和英威达合资过己二腈项目,欧洲的供应基本盘很稳。市场份额口径上,巴斯夫在全球PA66里一直是头部梯队。
代表牌号像A3K、A3EG5这类:A3K是通用注塑级,流动好;A3EG5是25%玻纤增强加阻燃,做电器外壳和连接器骨架。这些牌号在汽车和电子客户那里认可度很高。
巴斯夫的副牌,特点是"批次匀"。德国工厂的工艺管控细,副牌之间的指标浮动范围窄,不会出现这批和下批差很多的情况。做需要稳定量产的一般结构件,它的副牌用起来心里有底。
07 挑副牌的五条硬规矩
副牌怎么挑?给你几条硬规矩。
先认厂。看到袋子上写着TORZEN、Vydyne、Ultramid这种商标,再往下谈;写着一堆拼不出厂名的,直接pass。
要实测。熔指、拉伸、含水率,到货先测再签。PA66吸水率高,烘料烘不透,上机就是银纹和气泡,别把料的问题当成自己工艺的问题。
对用途。副牌别碰认证件、别碰外观高要求件、别碰和食品直接接触的件。内件、配色件、一般结构件,才是副牌该待的地方。
留批次。同一批副牌,留样可溯,出了问题能对上号。大包装小包装都有,按需拿,别一次囤太多。
盯价格。副牌低于正牌一档是正常,低到让你觉得"捡漏了",十有八九是回料冒充。

01 PA66 Sub-brand: The water is deeper than you think
PA66 This industry is deeper than you think.
Also called "PA66 Sub-brand," some quote at 30% off the genuine brand, some dump at the recycled price, and the price difference per ton can be several thousand. If you ask which factory makes it, they immediately say "DuPont" or "BASF," but when you look through the bag, the pinyin is all misspelled.
Even more ridiculous is the melting finger. They claim the same grade as the genuine brand, but once the machine is baked, the flow fluctuates between fast and slow; one batch of parts is filled with mold flash, the next batch can't fill the mold cavity. The boss scolds the buyer, the buyer scolds the supplier, and the supplier slams the table saying, "This is just the secondary brand, don't ask so high."
To put it bluntly, it's not that the secondary brand can't be used, but too many people treat the word "secondary brand" as a basket that can hold anything. This article strips away the bottom line of PA66: which polymerization line does this batch of ingredients come from, which foreign big manufacturers are different, and how to choose the secondary brand.
02 The fatal problem of hard bones is held in the hands of three companies ,
PA66 polyamide 66 is the "hard bone" among engineering plastics.
This material has a high density and high water absorption, but it's heat-resistant, oil-resistant, and fatigue-resistant. Connectors under car hoods, electronic connectors, electrical switches—many parts requiring high strength and temperature resistance all rely on it. Fiberglass is 30% higher, and its thermal distortion temperature can reach over 200 degrees, and its dimensions are stable.
Global PA66 supply has long been controlled by several upstream integrated giants. The reason isn't complicated: PA66's lifeline is adiponitrile, which has high technical barriers and high investment—not just anyone can do it. Looking at production capacity and market share, the top foreign giants are mainly these three: Invista, Ausende, and BASF.
Invista is backed by Koch Industries, so the entire industry chain from adiponitrile to polymerization is under its own control, with production capacity ranking among the top globally; Oustide is the North American leader in integrated manufacturing; BASF is the benchmark in Europe. These three companies have basically sealed the lifeblood of the global PA66 upstream.
03 The secondary brand isn't recycled material, it's the health check that made it red.
Before talking about the secondary brand, let's clarify the concept.
PA66 secondary brand is not recycled material, and definitely not recycled material. It's the part of the same manufacturer and same grade production line, where some factory inspection indicators don't fully meet the genuine brand standard—the melting finger is slightly floating, the color is slightly different, or the ash content is off. The molecular structure and genuine brand are all in one place, only a few indicators on the medical report show red .
Where does the secondary brand come from? There are mainly four issues: first, the starting and ending materials during the plant's startup and shutdown, with unstable processes during the initial and final stopping stages; second, the transition material during grade switching, cutting from grade A to grade B, where the intermediate rubber on both sides is not pure; third, batch batches where process fluctuations cause some indicators to slightly exceed standards; fourth, secondary line residue.
A line must be drawn here: genuine brand meets all indicators and batches are stable; some sub-brand indicators fluctuate slightly, and the base material matches the genuine brand; recycled material is processed scraps re-pelletized and has already undergone heat cycle; Recycled materials are recycled plastic pellets and have large performance fluctuations. These four items differ in price and use. Using secondary materials for certification parts is a risk; Using recycled materials to make connectors is risk-taking.
04 INVISTA: An upstream integrated source factory
Let's start with INVISTA.
What does this factory do? It came from the DuPont nylon division; in 2003, DuPont nylon business merged into INVISTA and is now under Koch Industries. The upstream core of PA66 is adiponitrile. INVISTA has its own patented process and ranks among the top suppliers globally. In terms of production capacity, INVISTA has bases in the US, UK, France, and Shanghai Caojing. The Shanghai line focuses on the TORZEN series, with annual polymerization capacity in the hundreds of thousands of tons.
Its representative grades are mostly TORZEN series and U-series domestically, such as pure resin grades like U4820L and U4800. These materials have clean natural color and uniform flowability, serving as common bases for connectors and electrical components.
Invista's sub-brand is characterized by "stable foundation." Because it produces its own upstream adiponitrile, raw material batch fluctuations are small, and the sub-brand mainly differs in small indicators like melt index or hue, with no issues with the molecules themselves. For internal parts, color-matched parts, and general structural parts, using their sub-brand allows for controllable risk.
05 Ascend: A familiar face in the connector circle
Speaking of Ascend Performance Materials.
This is a long-established North American brand specializing in PA66 integration, offering a full range from adiponitrile to polymerization and modified compounds. In terms of market share, it has consistently ranked among the global leaders, especially strong in electronics and electrical fields—its Vydyne series has hundreds of UL certifications alone.
The representative brand trademark is Vydyne®. In the domestic connector community, 21SPC, 21SPF, and R530 are almost familiar names: the 21 series is a general injection molding grade with good toughness; R530 is reinforced with 30% glass fiber for structural parts; There are also ECO366H flame-retardant grades specializing in thin-walled electronic components.
Auser's secondary brand is characterized by "strong certification base." Because the genuine brand has passed many UL and VDE certifications, although some secondary brands don't have genuine labels, the base materials are still produced under the same certification system. Used for non-certified internal components and alternative structural parts, their secondary brands offer outstanding cost-effectiveness.
06 BASF: Batch Uniformity Makes You Worry-Free
The third company, BASF.
German chemical giant, PA66 is called Ultramid® in its brand, which corresponds to Ultramid A series. BASF is also extending upstream, having jointly invested with INVISTA on an adiponitrile project, maintaining a stable supply base in Europe. In terms of market share, BASF has always been a leading player in the global PA66 segment.
represents grades like A3K and A3EG5: A3K is a general injection molding grade with good flow; A3EG5 is 25% fiberglass reinforced with flame retardant for electrical housings and connector frames. These grades are highly recognized by automotive and electronics customers.
BASF's sub-brand is characterized by "uniform batch." German factories have detailed process control, with narrow indicator fluctuation between sub-brands, so there is no big gap between this batch and the next. For general structural parts requiring stable mass production, their sub-brands are confident in their use.
07 Five hard rules for choosing secondary brands .
How do you choose a secondary brand? Here are a few hard rules for you.
First, identify the manufacturer. If you see the label labeled TORZEN, Vydyne, Ultramid on the bag, then proceed with the discussion; If it says a bunch of brands you can't figure out the factory name, just pass on it.
Conduct actual testing. Melting fingers, stretching, moisture content—test before signing upon arrival. PA66 has high water absorption, but the material can't be fully baked through. When machined, you'll see silver patterns and bubbles. Don't mistake material issues for your own craftsmanship.
Regarding usage. Don't touch certified parts for secondary brands, high-quality products, or items that come into direct contact with food. Inner parts, color-matched parts, and general structural parts are where sub-brands should stay.
Keep the batch. For sub-brands from the same batch, traceable samples can be retained, and if problems arise, you can match the numbers. Both large and small packages are available; take according to your needs, don't stock too many at once.
Keep an eye on price. It's normal for sub-brands to be a notch below the genuine ones; if they're so low you feel like you're 'finding a bargain,' it's almost certainly recycled materials and fakes.

08 Seven Rules to Lock the Key Points of Mass Production
Here’s a numbered mnemonic for finishing:
1. Certified parts, appearance parts — use the original brand, don’t touch secondary brands;
2. General structural parts, internal parts — secondary brands are acceptable;
3. For uniform fluidity — prioritize Invista TORZEN series;

A client in Suzhou, Jiangsu, making automotive electronic connectors, used to insist on using original-brand PA66.
