EPDM是什么，国内盘子有多大
EPDM（三元乙丙橡胶）是乙烯、丙烯加少量非共轭二烯共聚而成的合成橡胶，耐候、耐臭氧、耐老化、电绝缘，汽车密封条、胶管胶带、防水卷材、电线电缆护套都离不开它。国内EPDM树脂长期被外资品牌占据高端，国产主力集中在中石油体系。按2025年行业数据，国内EPDM/EPM树脂产能约39.5万吨，中石油吉林石化以约12.4万吨/年装置规模居国内首位，其主力牌号在汽车密封条领域占有率可观；阿郎新科（原朗盛业务外资控股）、延安能源、中石化三井、宁波爱思开（外资）分列其后。国内真正具备规模化原胶聚合能力的，吉林石化一家独大，其余多为合资或外资在华装置。从下游看，汽车密封条占EPDM消费六成以上，建筑防水卷材和电线电缆护套各占一成多，国产替代的空间主要在密封条和一般挤出件领域。
副牌料从哪来，和回料差在哪
同一聚合装置同一牌号，出厂检验未完全达到正牌技术指标的部分即为副牌。EPDM副牌主要来自四类来源：装置开停车阶段的头尾料、牌号切换时的过渡料、工艺波动致门尼粘度或挥发分小幅偏离的批次、副线尾料。它仍是原厂原生聚合粒子，分子结构与正牌一致，只是门尼、丙烯含量、外观等个别指标小幅浮动，价格通常低于正牌。要把它和回料、再生料区分清楚：回料是制品加工边角料再造粒，已经受过一次热历史；再生料是废旧橡胶回收，性能波动大。EPDM副牌是原生料，适合内密封条、非外露胶条、一般挤出件；回料只适合低端填充，别混为一谈。还要注意，EPDM副牌按指标偏离程度分精选副和普通副两档，精选副偏差小、价格高一点，普通副偏差大、价格更低，按制品要求选档，别拿普通副去要求高外观件。

EPDM副牌选购避坑
第一，认装置不认包装。EPDM副牌必须要原厂原包，编织袋上有昆仑牌标识和批号，散装、换包的来路不明料风险大。第二，看门尼粘度。EPDM加工对门尼敏感，混炼胶门尼偏高会挤出困难、偏低会跑胶，进场先测门尼，和正牌基准值对比偏差范围要卡死。第三，查挥发分和丙烯含量。挥发分高会在挤出时起泡，丙烯含量偏离会影响硫化速度。第四，要第三方检测报告，至少覆盖门尼、挥发分、拉伸强度、硬度四项。第五，小试再批量。先打20公斤试料做混炼挤出试验，合格再走批量，别一上来整吨进。

EPDM, and how big is the domestic market
EPDM (EPDM rubber) is synthetic rubber copolymerized from ethylene and propylene with a small amount of unconjugated dienes. It is weather-resistant, ozone-resistant, aging-resistant, and electrically insulating. Automotive sealing strips, tubing tapes, waterproof membranes, and wire and cable sheaths all rely on it. Domestic EPDM resin has long been dominated by foreign brands, with the main domestic production concentrated in the PetroChina system. According to 2025 industry data, domestic EPDM/EPM resin production capacity is about 395,000 tons, with PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical ranking first domestically with a capacity of about 124,000 tons per year. Its main grade holds a considerable share in the automotive sealing strip sector; Alan New Tech (formerly foreign holding in LANXESS's business), Yan'an Energy, Sinopec Mitsui, and Ningbo Aiskai (foreign-owned) follow behind. Where does the sub-brand material come from, and what is the difference from the recycled material ?
For the same polymerization device and the same grade, the parts that do not fully meet the technical specifications of the genuine brand during factory inspection are considered sub-brands. EPDM secondary brands mainly come from four sources: starting and stopping the unit, transition materials during grade changes, batches with slight deviations in Mooney viscosity or volatile fraction due to process fluctuations, and secondary line residues. They are still original original polymerized particles, with molecular structure consistent with the genuine brand, but only some indicators such as Mooney content, propylene content, and appearance fluctuate slightly, and their prices are usually lower than genuine ones. It is important to distinguish them from recycled and recycled materials: recycled material is the product processing scrap re-pelletized and has already undergone one a heat history; Recycled material is recycled from waste rubber and has significant performance fluctuations. EPDM secondary is original material, suitable for internal sealing strips, non-exposed rubber strips, and general extruded parts; Recycled material is only suitable for low-end filling; do not confuse them. Also, note that EPDM secondary brands are divided into two tiers based on the degree of indicator deviation: selected pairs and ordinary pairs. EPDM Avoid pitfalls when selecting secondary brands
First, recognize the device, not the packaging. EPDM secondary brands must be original factory packaging, with woven bags bearing the Kunlun brand mark and batch number. Bulk or repackaged products carry unknown sources and carry high risks. Second, check Mooney viscosity. EPDM processing is sensitive to Moonny; if the compound rubber is too high, extrusion is difficult; if too low, the rubber will leak. Test Mooney before entering the site, and compare the deviation range with the genuine brand benchmark value to ensure a tight range. Third, check volatile matter and propylene content. High volatile content causes foaming during extrusion, and deviations in propylene content affect vulcanization speed. Fourth, obtain a third-party test report, covering at least four items: mooncake, volatile content, tensile strength, and hardness. Fifth, conduct small-scale testing before mass production. First, prepare 20 kilograms of sample for mixing and extrusion testing; only after passing can you proceed with batches, and don't buy full tons right away.
