The corrugated tube cracks after bending dozens of times, and the wiring harness wears through and shorts, causing a shutdown. The corrugated tube was not chosen correctly for temperature resistance and flexibility, leaving the wires unprotected.

Bends dozens of times and then it cracks, the wiring harness wears through and shorts

Corrugated pipes are 'components for bending and protecting wires': temperature-resistant, flexible, and pressure-resistant. The material needs to be temperature-resistant, flexible, and pressure-resistant—the conclusion first: conventional corrugated pipes mainly use TPE; for high-temperature wire protection, TPEE is preferred.

The biggest pitfall of corrugated pipes: scanning the original package code gives you only half the truth. Scan the original package code, and you see half the truth — the original package code is the anti-counterfeiting line of the corrugated pipe.

Bellows are functional components: cracking and deformation are problems. Choosing the right material ensures cable stability—functional components, don't skimp on material costs.

Why choose TPE/TPEE for bellows?

Reasons for using TPE/TPEE for corrugated pipes: can withstand high temperatures, can be flexible, can resist pressure, high efficiency — together, these four make it suitable for corrugated pipes.

Temperature resistance is key: ambient temperature. Temperature resistance testing should be included in the acceptance criteria—deformation equals a problem.

Flexibility cannot be skipped: bend repeatedly. Include bending tests in the acceptance—if it cracks, it’s a problem.

Bending and compressive temperature resistance, three checkpoints

Bending conditions: repeated bending. Flexibility data must be tested—cracking indicates a problem.

Temperature working condition: ambient temperature. Temperature resistance data must be tested — deformation is the problem.

Pressure-resistant condition: Ballast protection. Pressure-resistant data must be tested—if it gets crushed, that's a problem.

Bellows acceptance: scan the original package first

Reading the table: Check the original package code item by item to see its authenticity—the truth will be revealed—only accept the goods if the QR code on the bag, batch number, and production date all match.

The original package code is the security line of the corrugated tube.

Only looking at the price, three scams with counterfeit goods

Pitfall 1: Only care about the price. If the code scan doesn't match, the low price could be hiding counterfeit barrels — scanning the code is a must.

Pitfall 2: Missed temperature resistance test. Deformation — temperature resistance test, must be tested.

Pitfall three: Flexibility overstated. Cracking — bending should be inspected according to actual measurements.

Choose bellows material first for anti-counterfeiting

Three questions: whether there is an original package code, what is the temperature resistance, and how many times it can be bent. One test: actual working conditions measurement — three questions and one test, the supplier's details are clear.

Anti-counterfeiting verification must come first: each bag should be scanned with the original package code upon arrival before being stored. Scan first, then discuss the price—the original package code is the anti-counterfeiting thread of the corrugated pipe.

Making sample retention a habit: retain samples for each batch and re-test them batch by batch for temperature resistance and flexibility. When changing materials between batches, compare first before scaling up—stable batches mean fewer customer complaints.

The conventional corrugated tube TPE bending radius gauge is within 4 times the inner diameter; if it is less than 4 times, it must hang for folding resistance. High-temperature wire protection only uses TPEE, which has a higher temperature resistance and is more expensive—choose the material grade according to the operating temperature.

TPE is flexible and cheap, while TPEE is resistant to heat and fatigue but significantly more expensive, so don’t jump straight to TPEE. For routing at room temperature, TPE is sufficient; TPEE becomes irreplaceable only for conditions above 120°C — based on the temperature threshold.

Corrugated pipes turn white and crack when bent in winter. First, check low-temperature bend resistance, don't just look at the appearance. If the bending radius is too sharp and the bend resistance data hasn't been measured, it could break at outdoor project sites—bend resistance should be evaluated based on the actual routing radius.

Corrugated pipe acceptance: three tests including temperature aging, bending fatigue, and joint sealing leakage. Scan each original package code; packages that cannot be scanned will not be accepted — export certification is checked by batch.

After the sample is retained and physical property data is verified, and third-party testing is completed, delivery will be made on schedule no matter how tight the timeline. Each batch of retained samples is tested for folding resistance and temperature resistance, and when changing materials for a batch, a comparison is made before scaling up production.

Corrugated pipes are categorized by a temperature threshold of 120°C: TPE for room temperature wiring, and TPEE for high-temperature conditions. TPE is flexible and inexpensive, while TPEE is more expensive but resistant to heat and fatigue. If the bending radius is less than four times the wire diameter, it is prone to breaking, so check according to the actual wiring radius.

Scan each original package individually, and test the three-piece set of connector sealing leaks together. In winter, if there is whitening at one fold, first check low-temperature folding resistance; for export certification, verify by batch, retaining samples from each batch to test both folding resistance and temperature resistance.

The temperature setting is divided at 120 degrees. If the original package code cannot be scanned package by package, it will not be accepted. Samples from each batch are retained to test folding resistance and temperature resistance. The bending radius is verified according to the actual routing, and the three-piece set for joint sealing and leakage is inspected together.

Fold resistance is based on the actual wiring radius; bending too sharply will inevitably cause damage. Room temperature TPE and high-temperature TPEE are distinguished according to the temperature; each original package is scanned for joint sealing leaks with a three-piece set.

In winter, if something whitens after one bend, first check its low-temperature folding resistance. For each batch, keep samples for both folding resistance and temperature resistance tests.

Cologne Customer Case: Tight delivery schedule with mismatched stock, sample data used to supplement certification

An industrial equipment factory in Nanjing has a tight delivery schedule for bellows, and the performance of the in-stock grades does not match. Cologne cooperated by providing samples and physical property data from the same batch, verified that the performance was correct, passed third-party testing, and completed the certification, delivering on schedule. With samples plus data, there is no panic even under tight delivery schedules—if the performance does not match, first check the sample data.

Summary

For the selection of bellows, first scan the original package, then test its temperature resistance. Scan the original package code to partially check authenticity; the original package code is an anti-counterfeiting line.
