How to match injection pressure, holding pressure, and flash

Make sample retention a habit: retain samples from each batch and recheck the moisture content by batch. Before switching materials between batches, compare them first before scaling up—the batch remains stable, and customer complaints are fewer.

Only feed materials when the moisture content meets the standard—if drying is inadequate, silver streaks, bubbles, and hydrolysis will occur together. Adjust the temperature of the drying hopper according to the material grade; seal the dried material to prevent moisture, because if it absorbs moisture, all the drying will be wasted.

Write the drying material into the process card: three-step check of temperature, time, and moisture content. Before changing materials, compare the drying window before discussing the price; ensure the hopper is sealed tightly, and do not leave it open after drying.

Drying and then absorbing moisture is equivalent to not drying at all—the problem lies not in the drying equipment, but in the sealing during transportation. The screw should follow the TPE design compression ratio; the injection molding pressure and clamping force should be balanced, otherwise a high pressure will cause flash to escape.

TPE 'afraid of water'—drying the material is her ritual before molding; if the silver streaks are not thoroughly removed, problems arise. The temperature is adjusted according to the grade; moisture content testing is done according to the standard, and only after the data is verified is the machine started.

After the moisture content is properly controlled, continuous production shows no silver streaks. Drying records are archived; personnel operations are consistent, and for similar issues, first check the ledger.

Most TPE itself does not absorb moisture, but if the granules are oil-filled or hygroscopic and absorb water, injection molding will result in splay, sticking to the mold, and surface blemishes.

The drying temperature of the material depends on the grade, generally 60-80°C for two to four hours; after drying, seal it to prevent moisture. Leaving it open for an afternoon is equivalent to drying in vain, and an insulated hopper ensures stability.

Check the moisture content when accepting dried materials, not how long they have been dried. Start the machine only after accurately measuring the moisture content; keep the hopper insulated, and when changing colors or materials, clean the barrel first; keep a sample from each batch to check the appearance, and only increase the production once silver streaks and bubbles have disappeared.

Final inspection of dried material: moisture content, hopper insulation, and color change cleaning of the cylinder are carried out with each batch.

Restart the machine after accurately measuring the moisture content, keep the hopper insulation pipe in good condition, and clean the barrel first when changing color or material; keep a sample from each batch to check for silver streaks and bubbles, and only increase the output once they disappear.

Ultimately, drying the material is about managing three things at once: moisture content, hopper sealing, and barrel cleaning. Set the temperature according to the grade at 60-80℃ and dry for two to four hours. After drying, seal to prevent moisture; measure the moisture content accurately before starting the machine, and clean the barrel first when changing color or material.
