PA66这个行当,水比你想象的深。
同样叫"PA66副牌",有人按正牌七折报价,有人按回料价倾销,一吨差价能拉出大几千。你问他哪家厂出的,张口就是"杜邦""巴斯夫",翻袋子一看,拼音都拼错了位。
更离谱的是熔指。标称和正牌同一牌号,上机一烘,流动性忽快忽慢,一批件打得满模飞边,下一批又充不满模腔。老板骂采购,采购骂供应商,供应商拍桌子说"这就是副牌,你要求别那么高"。
说白了,不是副牌不能用,是太多人把"副牌"这两个字当成了什么都能装的筐。这篇就把PA66的底裤扒干净:这锅料到底从哪条聚合线下来的,差在哪几家国外大厂之间,副牌又该怎么挑。
PA66,聚酰胺66,工程塑料里的"硬骨头"。
这东西密度不低、吸水率偏高,但耐热、耐油、扛疲劳,汽车引擎盖下的连接件、电子连接器、电器开关,一堆要求高强度又耐温的件都离不开它。玻纤一加30%,热变形温度能顶到两百多度,尺寸还稳。
全球PA66的供应,长期被几家上游一体化的巨头攥在手里。原因不复杂:PA66的命门在己二腈,这玩意儿技术门槛高、投资大,不是谁都能做。按产能和市场份额两个口径交叉看,排在前面的国外大厂主要是这三家:英威达、奥升德、巴斯夫。
英威达背靠科氏工业,己二腈到聚合全产业链自己说了算,产能口径全球靠前;奥升德是北美一体化龙头;巴斯夫则是欧洲的标杆。这三家,基本把全球PA66的上游命脉焊死了。
说副牌之前,先把概念掰扯清楚。
PA66副牌,不是回料,更不是再生料。它是同一厂家、同一牌号生产线上,出厂检验时个别指标没完全达到正牌标准的那一部分——熔指飘一点、色相差一点、或者灰分偏一档。分子结构和正牌是一锅出来的,只是体检报告上个别指标飘了红。
副牌从哪来?主要四个口子:一是装置开停车时的头尾料,开车初期和停车收尾那段,工艺不稳定;二是牌号切换时的过渡料,从A牌号切到B牌号,中间那段胶两边都不算纯;三是工艺波动导致个别指标小幅超标的批次;四是副线尾料。
这里必须划条线:正牌全指标达标、批次稳;副牌个别指标小幅浮动、基材和正牌一致;回料是加工边角料再造粒,已经受过一次热历史;再生料是废旧塑料回收造粒,性能波动大。这四样东西,价格差一截,用途也差一截。你拿副牌去做认证件,是冒险;你拿回料去做连接器,那是玩命。
先说英威达(INVISTA)。
这家厂是干什么的?它从杜邦尼龙事业部分出来,2003年杜邦尼龙业务并入英威达,现在归科氏工业旗下。PA66这门生意的上游核心己二腈,英威达有自己的专利工艺,全球供应量排得上号。产能口径上,英威达在美国、英国、法国和上海漕泾都有基地,上海那条线主打TORZEN系列,年聚合产能在数十万吨级别。
它的代表牌号,国内流通较多的是TORZEN系列和U系列,比如U4820L、U4800这类纯树脂级。这些料本色干净、流动性均匀,是连接器和电器件常用的底子。
英威达的副牌,特点是"底子稳"。因为它上游己二腈自己产,原料批次波动小,副牌主要差在熔指或色相这种小幅指标上,分子本身没毛病。做内件、配色件、一般结构件,用它的副牌,风险可控。
再说奥升德(Ascend Performance Materials)。
这家是北美PA66一体化的老牌子,从己二腈到聚合到改性化合物一条龙。市场份额口径上常年稳居全球前列,电子电气领域尤其强势——它家Vydyne系列光UL认证就有上百个等级。
代表牌号商标就是Vydyne®。国内做连接器的圈子里,21SPC、21SPF、R530这些牌号几乎是"熟面孔":21系列是通用注塑级,韧性好;R530是30%玻纤增强,做结构件;还有ECO366H这类阻燃级,专攻薄壁电子件。
奥升德的副牌,特点是"认证底子厚"。因为正牌本来就大量过UL、VDE认证,副牌虽然个别指标没贴正牌标签,但基材还是那套认证体系下出来的。用在非认证的内构件、替代结构件上,它的副牌性价比很突出。
第三家,巴斯夫(BASF)。
德国化工巨头,PA66在它家叫Ultramid®,PA66对应的是Ultramid A系列。巴斯夫同样往上游延伸,和英威达合资过己二腈项目,欧洲的供应基本盘很稳。市场份额口径上,巴斯夫在全球PA66里一直是头部梯队。
代表牌号像A3K、A3EG5这类:A3K是通用注塑级,流动好;A3EG5是25%玻纤增强加阻燃,做电器外壳和连接器骨架。这些牌号在汽车和电子客户那里认可度很高。
巴斯夫的副牌,特点是"批次匀"。德国工厂的工艺管控细,副牌之间的指标浮动范围窄,不会出现这批和下批差很多的情况。做需要稳定量产的一般结构件,它的副牌用起来心里有底。
副牌怎么挑?给你几条硬规矩。
先认厂。看到袋子上写着TORZEN、Vydyne、Ultramid这种商标,再往下谈;写着一堆拼不出厂名的,直接pass。
要实测。熔指、拉伸、含水率,到货先测再签。PA66吸水率高,烘料烘不透,上机就是银纹和气泡,别把料的问题当成自己工艺的问题。
对用途。副牌别碰认证件、别碰外观高要求件、别碰和食品直接接触的件。内件、配色件、一般结构件,才是副牌该待的地方。
留批次。同一批副牌,留样可溯,出了问题能对上号。大包装小包装都有,按需拿,别一次囤太多。
盯价格。副牌低于正牌一档是正常,低到让你觉得"捡漏了",十有八九是回料冒充。

PA66 This industry is deeper than you think.
Also called "PA66 Sub-brand," some quote at a 30% discount on the genuine brand, some dump at the recycled price, and the price difference per ton can be several thousand. If you ask which factory makes it, they immediately say "DuPont" or "BASF," but when you check the bag, the pinyin is all misspelled.
What's even more ridiculous is the melting finger. The labeled brand is the same as the genuine brand, but once the machine is baked, the flow fluctuates between fast and slow; one batch is punched with mold flash, the next batch can't fill the mold cavity. The boss scolds the buyer, the buyer scolds the supplier, and the supplier slams the table saying, "This is just a secondary brand, don't ask so high."
To put it bluntly, it's not that secondary brands can't be used, but too many people treat the term "secondary brand" as a basket that can hold anything. This article will strip away the bottom of PA66: which polymerization line does this batch of ingredients come from, which foreign big manufacturers make differences, and how to choose secondary brands?
PA66, polyamide 66 is the "hard bone" among engineering plastics.
This stuff has a high density and high water absorption, but it is heat-resistant, oil-resistant, and fatigue-resistant. Under the hood, connectors, electronic connectors, electrical switches—many parts requiring high strength and temperature resistance all rely on it. Fiberglass is 30% more than 100%, and its thermal deformation temperature can reach over 200 degrees, and its dimensions are stable.
Global PA66 supply has long been controlled by several upstream integrated giants. The reason isn't complicated: PA66's lifeline is adiponitrile, which has high technical barriers and large investments, so not everyone can do it. Looking at the top foreign giants by capacity and market share, the main three major foreign companies are Invista, Ausen, and BASF.
Invista is backed by Koch Industries, so the entire industry chain from adiponitrile to aggregation is up to its own control, and its capacity is among the top globally; Ausentech is the North American leader in integration; BASF is the benchmark in Europe. These three companies have basically sealed the upstream lifeblood of global PA66 .
Before talking about the sub-brand, let's clarify the concept.
PA66 sub-brand, not recycled material, and certainly not recycled material. It is the part of the same manufacturer and grade production line, where some indicators during factory inspection do not fully meet the genuine brand's standards—melt fingers float a bit, color difference is slight, or ash content is off. The molecular structure and genuine brand are all in one pot, only a few indicators appear red on the medical report.
Where does the secondary label come from? There are mainly four points: first, the starting and tail materials during the plant's operation and shutdown, with unstable processes during the initial and final stopping stages; second, the transition material during grade switching, cutting from grade A to grade B, where the rubber in the middle is not pure on both sides; third, batch batches where process fluctuations cause some indicators to slightly exceed standards; fourth, auxiliary line scraps.
Here you must draw a line: genuine brands meet all indicators and have stable batches; Secondary brands have slight fluctuations in some indicators, and the base material matches the genuine brand; Reprocessed material is processed scraps and then pelletized, which has already undergone a heat cycle; Recycled material is recycled plastic for pelletizing, with significant performance fluctuations. These four items differ in price and use. Using secondary brands for certified parts is a risk; Using recycled materials to make connectors is risk-taking.
Let's start with INVISTA.
What does this factory do? It came from the DuPont nylon business division. In 2003, the DuPont nylon business merged into INVISTA, and now it is under Koch Industries. The upstream core of the PA66 business is adiponitrile. INVISTA has its own patented process and ranks among the top suppliers globally. In terms of production capacity, INVISTA has bases in the US, UK, France, and Shanghai Caojing. The Shanghai line focuses on the TORZEN series, with annual polymerization capacity in the hundreds of thousands of tons.
Its representative grades are mostly TORZEN series and U-series in China, such as pure resin grades like U4820L and U4800. These materials have clean color and uniform flowability, serving as common bases for connectors and electrical components.
Invista's sub-brand is characterized by "stable foundation." Because its upstream adiponitrile is produced in-house, raw material batch fluctuations are small, and the sub-brand mainly differs in small indicators like melt index or hue, with no issues with the molecules themselves. For internal parts, color-matched parts, and general structural parts, using their sub-brand allows for controllable risk.
Let's talk about Ascend Performance Materials.
This is a long-established North American brand specializing in PA66 integration, offering a full range from adiponitrile to polymerization and modified compounds. In terms of market share, it has consistently ranked among the global leaders, especially strong in electronics and electrical fields—its Vydyne series has over a hundred UL certifications alone.
The representative brand is Vydyne®. In the domestic connector industry, 21SPC, 21SPF, and R530 are almost familiar names: the 21 series is a general injection molding grade with good toughness; R530 is 30% glass fiber reinforced for structural parts; There are also ECO366H flame-retardant grades specializing in thin-walled electronic components.
Auser's secondary brand is characterized by "strong certification foundation." Because the official brand has already passed many UL and VDE certifications, although the secondary brand doesn't carry the official label for some indicators, the base material is still produced under the same certification system. Used for non-certified internal components and alternative structural parts, its secondary brand offers excellent cost performance.
The third company, BASF.
German chemical giant, PA66 is called Ultramid® in its company, which corresponds to the Ultramid A series. BASF has also extended upstream, having jointly invested in an adiponitrile project with Invista, so its European supply base is very stable. In terms of market share, BASF has always been a leading player in the global PA66 market.

BASF's sub-brand is characterized by "uniform batch." German factories have detailed process control, narrow indicator fluctuation between sub-brands, so there is no big difference between this batch and the next. They make general structural parts that require stable mass production, so their sub-brands are confident when used.
How do you choose sub-brands? Here are a few hard rules.
First, identify the factory. If you see the bag labeled TORZEN, Vydyne, Ultramid, etc., keep discussing further; If it says a bunch of things that can't spell out the factory name, just pass on directly.
Conduct actual testing. Melt fingers, stretching, moisture content—test before signing upon arrival. PA66 has high water absorption, but the material can't be fully baked through; when machined, there will be silver patterns and bubbles. Don't mistake material issues for your own craftsmanship.
About the purpose. Don't touch certified parts for sub-brands, high-quality appearance parts, or parts that come into direct contact with food. Inner parts, color-matched parts, and general structural parts are where sub-brands should stay.
Keep the batch. For sub-brands, keep samples for traceability, and if problems arise, you can match them up. Both large and small packages are available, take as needed, don't stock too much at once.
Monitor the price. It's normal for secondary cards to be one notch below the genuine ones, but if it's so low that you feel like you've "struck a bargain," it's almost certainly recycled materials being fake

There is a customer in Suzhou, Jiangsu, who manufactures automotive electronic connectors. Previously, they insisted on using branded PA66, but the material cost for a single connector couldn't be reduced, so there was no profit once the order was placed. Later, they switched to the secondary brand Vydyne from Aoshengde for non-appearance internal insert cores. The melt flow index and color measurements were within acceptable ranges, and the connector's plug-and-play lifespan and temperature resistance tests still passed. The material cost per set dropped significantly, and the money saved in one year was enough to support half of a technical team.
This is how a secondary brand is used—not as a compromise, but by taking original factory materials that fall slightly short of the specifications and putting them where they belong.
