Old Zeng's factory is in Ningbo, making lithium battery binders and photovoltaic backsheets. Last year, during a batch of photovoltaic order adjustments, he stored over three tons of Kynar and Solef in his warehouse, stored in the drying silo with brand-new labels. PVDF has been booming with lithium batteries in recent years, with a high unit price. It's a strong player for lithium battery binders, photovoltaic backplanes, and cables, but holding it for half a year means holding tens of thousands of yuan. Finance keeps urging for price drops, but he's been dragging it out. He asked around at the buyers, but hardly anyone recognized the PVDF grade; all the bids were randomly sold on ordinary fluoroplastics.
The material that rose with lithium batteries has become even more sluggish. What is
PVDF? Polyvinylidene fluoride is chemical-resistant, piezoelectric, and weather-resistant, making it a key tool for lithium battery binders, photovoltaic backsheets, cables, and coatings. But its value lies in its "grade"—like batteries, bonding, coating, and cable grades, each has its own price, and mixing them causes a downturn. Plus, the material niche is narrow—downstream is only lithium battery and photovoltaic companies, and ordinary recyclers can't find a buyer. High unit price, niche status, and depreciation — all of these have left Old Zeng running. The more he asked, the more disheartened he felt—good materials would really be sold off as ordinary fluoroplastic. He wanted to clear them quickly, but was afraid of being sold as ordinary material and underpriced. After hesitating for a while, the more he delayed, the more passive he was. The sooner he left, the sooner he left, the more he couldn't make up his mind.
The pain of niche materials isn't that no one wants them, but that too few people understand them.
You find a wholesaler, but he can't tell the difference between Kynar and Solef, and starts saying 'fluoroplastics are all the same,' and calls your lithium-grade PVDF as ordinary fluoroplastic. He half-heartedly replies: It's not that he doesn't know the quality, he really doesn't know who to give the material to, so he can only test you with the lowest price. Weighing the scale, saying your material will be discounted if it's been stored too long, quoting a price to hook you before bargaining—this combo is especially targeting when you're in a hurry to clear out. Here's a real story: some competitors want to save trouble and sell it all at once, only to realize later that they missed a huge price and regret it so badly. To put it bluntly, PVDF is such a precious material—the only worry is that you want speed while others want to cheap, and once the material is ready, they'll sell it cheaply.
The seller's quote is never for you to hear; it's for him to leave room for himself.
Cologne is a direct supplier for PVDF. We have downstream customers for lithium battery and photovoltaic stocks receiving this material. Grades like Arkema Kynar and Solef are distributed the same day without inventory backlog. Niche batches and downgraded materials are processed with their own modified formulas, regardless of grade or batch. We price each item by grade, bonding grade, coating grade, and cable grade, with clear and precise pricing. With our own production capacity plus customer backing, we don't bargain at the last minute when the market fluctuates. Simply put, what we earn isn't the price difference from resale, but from the money "that recognizes the material and delivers it to the right person."
Those who can handle lithium battery photovoltaic-grade materials need real channels.
Five-step process: material submission→ graded evaluation→ on-site receipt→ deduction of payment→ settlement and invoicing. Old Zeng's over three tons of PVDF, after evaluation, was converted into KONICE's modified plastic new material quota, which just offset the next batch of backsheet material procurement. A photovoltaic factory did the same last month: weighing and paying on the same day, easing up after more than half a year of occupation. Send us the grade, quantity, and photos, then we estimate the range remotely, then arrange a visit. We don't let you go for nothing, only discuss it if it suits you.
Qingdudu isn't cutting losses; it's about redeeming the dead money on the account.
Grade List: Arkema Kynar 740, Kynar 761, Kynar Flex 2850, Syensqo Solef 6010, Solef 1015, Solef 6020 are all within the regular recycling range; Other PVDF grades such as Daikin NEOFLON VP-800/VP-850, Zhejiang Funolin, Shandong Dongyue, etc., are subject to physical appraisal. Recyclable forms include stagnant original packaging, sprue gate material, powder/granular scraps, adhesive/backsheet defective parts, and inventory scraps. Damaged packages and moisture will be accepted; different grades will be evaluated separately, no mixed pressing. Bonding grade and coating grade will also be calculated separately.
Avoid three pitfalls. 1. "Fluoroplastics all have the same price"—the truth is that PVDF, this lithium battery photovoltaic-grade material, is priced much higher than ordinary fluoroplastic. 2. "Leave it alone and it won't spoil," but the truth is that if it gets damp and clumps, it gets downgraded. 3. "Whoever pays the higher price" means you bargain right in hand, and the price is even worse than the other three. Lithium battery photovoltaic-grade is expensive, so ask another shop before selling and the difference becomes clear.
Compliance is not careless: Proper disposal qualifications are complete, weighbridge and recycling forms are complete, the flow can be traced, can pass environmental audits and ISO audits, and does not go to illegal small workshops. If you have PVDF obsolete or powder scraps, report the category, grade, quantity, and city to come over. Large quantities will be delivered and quoted the same day. Quote first, no rushing to close the deal. Asking more companies won't be a loss. Compare quotes first to feel confident. If you don't lose out, quote first.
