Old Han's factory is in Ningbo, making semiconductor solution pipelines and high-purity liners. Last year, a semiconductor project was postponed. He stored over two tons of Teflon PFA and NEOFLON PFA in his warehouse, stored in a temperature-controlled drying silo with the bag sealed tightly. PFA is the "nobility" among fluoroplastics; one kilogram is worth several times more than ordinary fluoroplastic, and after half a year, the price is over a hundred thousand. Finance keeps urging for price drops, but he keeps dragging it out. He asked around the buyers but hardly recognized the PFA grade; all bidders blindly bet on ordinary fluoroplastic.
The more expensive the high-purity material, the more money it burns when stored in the silo. What is
PFA? Fusible PTFE is related to PTFE, can be melt-processed, chemically resistant, and highly purified. It's an expert in semiconductor chemical pipelines, high-purity connectors, and wire wrapping. But its value lies in its "purity"—just like high-purity reagents, if it gets even a little impurity, its semiconductor-grade status is lost. Plus, the material industry is narrow—downstream only a few companies like semiconductors and high-purity liners, and ordinary recyclers can't find a buyer. High unit price, niche, and devalued by sitting there all made Old Han run into it. The more he asked, the more discouraged he felt—high-purity material was really going to be sold off as ordinary fluoroplastic. He wanted to clear it quickly, but was afraid someone would undervalue it as ordinary fluoroplastic. After hesitating for a while, he became more and more passive.
The awkward issue with high-purity materials is that good materials fear contamination; once they get polluted, their value drops.
You find a wholesaler who doesn't understand the difference between Teflon PFA and NEOFLON PFA, and just says, "Fluoroplastics are all the same," calling semiconductor-grade PFA ordinary fluoroplastic. Half-Buddha replies: It's not that they don't know their value; they really don't know who to give this material to, so they can only test you at the base price. They weigh it, say your material has dust and want to deduct impurities, quote a price to hook you before cutting — this kind of thing treats your good material as a processing price. To put it bluntly, the real danger about high-purity materials is dealing with a dealer who "knows nothing but dares to buy anything." They buy it and then dump it in their hands, blaming you for poor material, and you can't even argue back. To put it bluntly, the real fear is meeting people like this for high-purity materials.
Trying to fool you with "one price for everyone" is basically bullying you for not knowing the trade.
Cologne is targeting PFA. We have downstream customers for semiconductor and high-purity liners who receive this material. Grades like Chemours Teflon PFA, Daikin NEOFLON PFA, AGC Fluon PFA are distributed the same day without inventory pressure. Niche batches and downgraded materials are processed by their own modified formulas, regardless of grade or batch. We price by grade, semiconductor/standard, and purity item by item, with clear pricing and solid pricing. With our own capacity plus customer support, we don't change our plans on the spot during market fluctuations. To put it simply, what we earn isn't the price difference on resale, but the money from "recognizing this high-purity material and delivering it to the target customer."
Those who can handle high-purity materials need real channels in the semiconductor industry.
Five-step process: material submission→ graded evaluation→ door-to-door receipt→ deduction of payment→ settlement and invoicing. Old Han's more than two tons of PFA, after evaluation, converted to KONICE's modified plastic new material quota, just enough to offset his next batch of pipeline material procurement. A certain semiconductor parts factory followed the same process last month: weighed and paid on the same day, loosening up the occupation that had been held for over half a year. You send us the grade, quantity, and photos, and we first estimate the range remotely, then arrange a visit if it seems suitable. We won't let you go for nothing, only discuss it if it suits you.
Turning dead money into active money, more reliable than waiting for project restarts.
Grade List: Chemours Teflon PFA 451HP, Teflon PFA 340, Teflon PFA 6502, Daikin NEOFLON PFA AP-201, AP-231SH, AP-210, AGC Fluon PFA P-66PT, P-65P—all within the usual recycling range; Other grades like Solvay Hyflon PFA, Shandong Dongyue PFA, etc., are subject to physical appraisal. Recyclable forms include stagnant raw packaging, pipeline scraps, sprue gate materials, high-purity joint defective parts, and inventory scraps. Damaged packages and moisture will be accepted as usual. We will evaluate semiconductor grade and ordinary grade separately.
Avoid three pitfalls. 1. "Fluoroplastics are all the same"—the truth is that PFA, a high-purity material, is several times cheaper than ordinary fluoroplastic. 2. "It won't spoil anyway," but the truth is, if it gets impurities, it gets downgraded. 3. "Whoever pays the highest price sells to whom"—the truth is, when you get it, you have to weigh and bargain, and the price is even worse than the three brands. For high-purity materials, you need to find the right person—just ask us first: no loss
