Lao Xiao makes shoe materials and consumer electronics accessories in Ouhai, producing edge banding and soft-touch parts. Last month, a sports shoe sole project was canceled, and the PAE polyamide elastomer was lost, leaving the four bags of Pebax in the warehouse. The bags are soft, the grains are glutinous, and the texture is completely different from ordinary hard plastics, but the order has gone through. This material has been sitting in a corner for almost half a year.
Lao Xiao knows the rope: PAE is polyamide elastomer, soft and elastic, wear-resistant, and highly resilient. It's essential for soles, medical devices, and edging, and the unit price isn't low. But this material is soft, sensitive to high temperatures, and prone to clumping. If stored in a regular warehouse for a long time, it sticks to the bag and spoils, and ordinary recyclers have no idea how to handle it.
Soft materials are stored in storage, not the goods, but your concern about spoilage. What are the pain points in
PAE handling? They are soft and springy, rebound well, unlike hard plastics. The processing temperature is low, so they risk degradation at high temperatures and also prevent moisture and sticking to bags. It's like QQ candy that melts and sticks after being stored for a long time, and PAE particles stick together, which reduces performance. Plus, since it's an elastomer, ordinary recyclers can't tell if it's PAE or TPE, and even hardness and Shaw Label level are hard to gauge.
Usage is concentrated in shoe materials, medical, consumer electronics, and other sectors; no one outside the circle dares to take over. They collect a truckload of material as mixed elastomers, and your Pebax brand premium is completely eaten up.
Soft, afraid of spoilage, and afraid of being confused are the three labels PAE can't shake off as obsolete materials.
You call the scrap collector to come see the goods, but they pick up a soft particle and say, "Oh, what's this? It's soft," and quote based on the mixed material. He doesn't even know if it's Pebax or domestic TPA-E.
Some dealers are even more ruthless, first claiming elastomers are worthless, saying "soft materials are hard to granulate, so they can only sell cheaply," then sell them to shoe material factories, multiplying the price several times over. Think about it, what they earn is money you don't understand.
To put it bluntly, soft materials in their hands aren't waste, but tools for monetizing information gaps.
Wholesalers aren't helping you handle soft materials; they're gambling that you won't recognize their value.
Cologne specializes in terminal digestion, specializing in this type of polyamide elastomer.
Pebax Popular grades like 2533, 3533, 7233, Vestamid E40-S3, E55-S3, Wanhua TPA-E, and other popular brands like 2533, 35-S3, and Wanhua TPA-E, are in demand for our elastomer modification clients year-round. After receiving them for grading, we connect directly without inventory pressure. For niche batches, bulk scraps, or bags that are stuck and clumped, we use Cologne's own modified formula to produce soft-touch and rebound modified materials for supply, regardless of brand or batch.
Pricing is based on hardness, grade, physical properties, and appearance; PAE is priced at PAE levels, not confused with ordinary TPE. With modification capacity and customers backing the floor, the pricing is stable, and they won't push hard just because the market is cold.
Soft materials aren't afraid of being wanted; what they fear is being sold by weight as mixed elastomers.
Cooperative Recycled Materials for New Materials: You submit materials, we grade and evaluate, large volumes come to collect goods, repurchase payments are deducted from new material payments, and invoices are settled.
After so many years in business, one of the most common questions from bosses is, "How much is my material really worth?" Actually, the answer isn't complicated: materials that can be distinguished by grade and maintain their condition are more expensive than mixed materials sold for loading; The earlier they start grading means losing a month of rent and interest.
Tell a true story. A shoe material factory in Ouhai canceled about 2 tons of PAE and half a bag of edge banding scraps. We went door-to-door grading, and the whole bag of good material was sold to the shoe material client by elastomer. That half bag of scraps was separately evaluated and formulated, and the recovery was used to offset the next order of KONICE modified plastic. Old Xiao said, "So these soft scraps can also be converted into money."
Revitalizing soft materials is real skill.
To put it bluntly, your material might take two or three hands in others' hands, but in Cologne, it can directly meet upstream and downstream demand. Any savings from the resale and weighing bargaining process are all returned to your quotation.
Currently in circulation, we regularly collect Arkema Pebax 2533, Pebax 3533, Pebax 7233, Evonik Vestamid E40-S3, Vestamid E55-S3, Wanhua Chemical TPA-E, etc. DSM Arnitel, EMS Grilamid ELI, and other PAE grades and domestic elastomers are subject to physical appraisal.
Recycling forms: Stagnant original packaging, sprue and gate materials, scrap material and machine head material, pre-vulcanization soft scraps, defective parts, and inventory residue are all accepted. Clearly labeled and not severely contaminated. Soft materials are especially sensitive to high-temperature deterioration and bag sticking; it is best to store them in cool, separate bags.
"No one wants soft elastomers?" "The truth is that shoe materials and medical factories are fighting for them, but they don't buy from the scrap market."
"If the bags clump together, can they just be thrown away?" "The truth is, you can still use formulas for money after individual evaluation."
"Is it easier to sell mixed elastomers in bulk? "The truth is that the price difference between PAE and ordinary TPE is significant; selling in bulk is basically giving away the price difference."
