Old Sun does modification and injection molding in Yuyao, and PA6 is a regular in the warehouse. Last month, a batch of spinning orders was canceled, and the twenty-plus tons of original PA6 material were lost, and the pallet at the east end of the warehouse was completely occupied. The bags were new, the seals unopened, but the customer switched to another supplier, so this material went from being the main ingredient on the production line to the biggest bottleneck in storage.
Old Sun isn't unfamiliar with the industry; precisely because he does, he worries: he touches PA6 every day, absorbs moisture quickly, doesn't keep it for long, and the more it drags on, the more performance drops. But selling over twenty tons in bulk at once is like throwing away tens of thousands in price difference.
For large quantities of obsolete material, holding on for one more month means losing one extra month of interest. What are the pain points in handling
PA6? It's one of the most widely circulated general-purpose nylons, but it also absorbs moisture well. PA6 absorbs water like a sponge dropping into a basin—after three days, its size changes, its strength drops, and it can't be restored even after drying. Who would dare test moisture-damaged materials for structural or electrical parts? One test and it's a whole batch of waste.
Large volume is its advantage, but also its problem—if you pile up too much material, storage rent and interest will all go through the market. Ordinary recyclers dare to buy PA6, but they can't tell the difference between BASF B3S and Baling YH800. Pure resin and fiberglass reinforced are all at once, and the total weight is measured by standard goods.
Fear of moisture, bulk volume, and fear of being simmered in one spoon are the three major obstacles for PA6 stagnant material.
You call the scrap collector, but they circle the pallet, saying, "Oh, nylon 6," and immediately quote a unified price. They can't tell if B3WG6 is fiberglass reinforced or pure resin like 1013B.
Some dealers are even more ruthless, first quoting domestic and imported materials separately, then saying, "Imported materials will yellow if stored too long, give me two more pieces." You unload over twenty tons, and just the pressure scale alone strips off a layer.
To put it bluntly, they're betting on your abundance and urgency to clear out the warehouse.
The wholesaler isn't helping you clear out waste; they're using your large volume to lower prices.
Cologne is focused on terminal digestion, specializing in this kind of large-circulation general-purpose material.
BASF Ultramid B3S series, UBE 1013B, Toray Amilan CM series, Baling YH series, Haiyang 2500I, Xinhui Meida M2500I—these are long-term needs for our modified customers. After grading, we connect directly without inventory pressure. For unpopular batches, bulk scraps, domestic materials, or unclear labels, we use Cologne's own modified formulas to supply reinforced and toughened modified materials, regardless of grade or batch.
pricing is graded by grade, pure resin or fiberglass reinforcement, physical properties, and appearance. Imported and domestic products, reinforced and pure resin are priced separately, never a single simmer. With modification capacity and customers backing the market, prices remain stable—no change at one price tomorrow.
Isn't afraid of large volumes; what's scary is mixing good materials into bulk goods and selling them cheaply as scrap.
Cooperation involves recycling materials for new ones: you report materials, we grade and evaluate them, large quantities come to collect goods, recovered payments are deducted from new material payments, and invoices are settled.
After so many years in business, one of the most common questions from bosses is, "How much is this material really worth?" Actually, the answer isn't complicated: materials with clear grades and preserved condition are more expensive than mixed and loaded with trucks; Starting by grading and selling one day earlier means losing a month of rent and interest.
Tell a true story. A modification factory in Yuyao canceled an order and reduced about 18 tons of PA6, including BASF pure resin and Baling spinning material. We go door-to-door grading: twelve tons of good condition are distributed by grade to modified customers, six tons of loose material goes into our own formula, and the recycling fee is used to offset the next order of KONICE modified plastics. Calculating, we get fifty to sixty thousand yuan more than selling bulk goods, and the east end of the warehouse is emptied instantly.
Turning large inventory into new material quotas is what it means to handle obsolete materials.
To put it bluntly, your material might take two or three hands in others' hands, but here in Cologne, you can directly meet the supply needs of upstream and downstream customers. Those resale steps and bargaining in the middle—the saved portion is all returned to your quotation.
Currently, the high-circulation products we have been collecting year-round: BASF Ultramid B3S, B3WG6, B3KG6; DOMO Domamid H22, H30, 6G15; UBE Ube Nylon 1013B, 1013NW8, 1030B; Toray Amilan CM1011, CM1017, CM1026; Sinopec Baling YH800, YH3200, YH3400; Haiyang Technology 2500I, 2500HS; Guangdong Xinhui Meida M2500I, M2400, etc. Other PA6 grades and domestic materials are subject to physical appraisal.
Recycling form: Collect stagnant original pack material (whole pallet/loose pack), sprue and gate material, off-end material and machine head material, defective parts, and inventory residue. Clearly labeled and not severely contaminated. PA6 is especially prone to moisture absorption and clumping; sealing it in separate bags is even better.
"PA6 is everywhere, can't be sold at a good price?" "The truth is that it is sold by grade and grade; popular imported and reinforcing materials can sell at good prices, while mixed materials are underpriced."
"Waiting for the market to recover?" "The truth is moisture absorption is irreversible; before the market comes in, it's already worthless."
"If the volume is large, just pick any dealer?" "The truth is that large volumes actually require grading; a spoonful of stew is the real loss."
