老徐在沧州开了家PVC改性厂,给型材厂做抗冲改性。上个月配方调整,原来用的那批Kane Ace B-513、几袋Metablen C-102,就这么在原料间角落里躺了快一年。桶口封得好好的,可标签上的批号已经是前年的,仓管说"这料再不动,都快过期了"。
助剂这东西,用量小、单价高,一不留神就成了仓库里的"沉默负债"。
呆滞助剂不是库存,是压在桶底的现金。
MBS这东西,说白了就是PVC透明制品的抗冲改性剂——透明片材、透明瓶、型材里掺一点,脆得跟玻璃似的PVC立马韧起来。它娇贵在哪?怕受潮、怕氧化、怕温度高。跟奶粉放久了结块一个道理——料本身没坏,可吸了潮结了团,分散性就差了,掺进PVC里出不均匀的白点。更头疼的是MBS用量小,一袋25公斤,可单价不低,放一年桶里没少多少,钱却压了一年。
小料压大钱,说的就是助剂。更头疼的是MBS跟别的抗冲助剂摆一起,光靠眼睛分不出来,得测抗冲效率和分散性。贩子不懂这套,抓起来捏两下,直接按助剂统货给你算,好料卖了个渣价。
说个真事,老徐之前问过收废料的。一听是MBS助剂,对方直接懵了——"这玩意我哪懂,你送过来我按吨给你算统货价"。老徐心里咯噔一下:自己这料当年进口进来花了多少钱心里没数,按统货价卖,跟白送差不多。可不卖吧,桶还在角落蹲着,卖吧,又实在肉疼。
统货商看见助剂料,基本两眼一抹黑——他不懂物性,就敢跟你说"这东西没人要"。他不是在评估料,是在评估你急不急。你越急,他压得越狠。
说白了,他给的价,是按"你不懂行"算出来的。
科隆新材做MBS回收走终端消化路线。Kane Ace B-513、B-521、M-511这种PVC透明片材常用牌号,下游改性厂一直在用,收进来分级后直接对口走掉。三菱Metablen C-102、E-870A、S系列这些PC/PBT/PET增韧牌号,我们也接——冷门料进自家改性配方里消化,不挑牌号不挑批次。助剂本来就是掺着用的,稍微存放过的料检测完了照样进配方。

助剂回收,懂行的人看的是物性,不是桶上的生产日期。
合作流程走五步:报料、分级评估、上门收货、抵扣货款、结算开票。老徐那批料就是这么处理的——他拍了照发来,标了B-513大概八百公斤、C-102四百公斤,我们评估完报了价,约了时间上门过磅。回收款直接抵扣了他下个月采购KANOLE塑料助剂的货款,抵了差不多两万多。原料间清出一排桶,老徐说"早知道这样,前两年就该处理了,哪用压这么久"。
助剂不是用不完才值钱,用不完的放着就是亏。老徐后来把这事跟车间主任一说,主任直拍大腿——早知道这样,前年那批助剂就该处理掉。
目前可回收的MBS牌号,包括钟化Kane Ace B-513、B-521、M-511,三菱化学Metablen C-102、E-870A、S系列等主流编号;陶氏化学、LG化学、山东日科等其余牌号以实物评估为准。形态上都收:呆滞原包料(桶装袋装都行)、改性配方余料、检测留样、库存尾料。桶装和袋装分开装,分级价更优。

"助剂过期了就是垃圾?"真相是只要检测物性还在,进配方照样能用,直接扔了才亏。

Old Xu opened a PVC modification factory in Cangzhou to do impact-resistant modification for profile factories. Last month, the formula was adjusted, and the original batch of Kane Ace B-513 and several bags of Metablen C-102 had been sitting in the corner of the raw material room for almost a year. The barrel opening was sealed perfectly, but the batch number on the label was already from the year before last. The warehouse manager said, "If you don't move this material, it's almost expired."
Additives are small in quantity and high in unit price; if you're not careful, they can become "silent liabilities" in the warehouse.
Stagnant additives are not inventory, but cash buried at the bottom of the barrels.
MBS this stuff, to put it bluntly, is a shock modifier for transparent PVC products—if you mix a bit into transparent sheets, bottles, or profiles, the brittle PVC immediately becomes tough. What makes it so delicate? It's afraid of moisture, oxidation, and high temperatures. It's the same as milk powder that clumps when stored for a long time—the material itself isn't spoiled, but if it absorbs moisture and clumps together, dispersion is poor, and when mixed into PVC, uneven white spots appear. What's even more troublesome is that MBS is used in small amounts, 25 kg per bag, but the unit price isn't low. It doesn't decrease much after a year in the bucket, but the cost is tied up for a year.
Small ingredients cost big money—that's all about additives. What's even more troublesome is that when MBS is placed alongside other anti-impact additives, you can't tell just by looking, so you have to measure impact resistance efficiency and dispersion. The dealer didn't understand this trick, grabbed it, squeezed it a couple of times, and charged you with the combined goods as additives. The good material sold at a junk price.
Let me tell you the truth: Old Xu had asked the scrap collector before. When he heard it was MBS additives, the seller was completely stunned—"I don't know much about this. If you deliver it, I'll calculate the wholesale price for you by the ton." Old Xu's heart skipped a beat: he had no idea how much this material had cost to import back then. Selling it at the wholesale price was basically free. But he wouldn't sell it, the bucket was still crouched in the corner. Selling it would be painful.
The wholesaler was basically blinded when he saw the additives—he didn't understand the nature of the material, yet dared to tell you, "No one wants this stuff." He's not evaluating the material, he's assessing whether you're in a hurry. The more anxious you are, the harder he presses.
To put it bluntly, the price he gives is calculated based on 'you don't know the industry.'
Cologne New Materials follows the end-user path for MBS recycling. Common grades of PVC transparent sheets like Kane Ace B-513, B-521, and M-511 are still used by downstream modification plants, and after grading and then directly discarded. For Mitsubishi Metablen C-102, E-870A, and S series, we also use toughening grades like PC/PBT/PET for niche materials, entering our own modified formulas, regardless of grade or batch. Additives are meant to be mixed in, and even slightly stored materials are still added to the formula after testing.
Pricing is based on impact efficiency, dispersion, and appearance grading; clean ones are offered at good prices, while those with slight moisture are accepted as modified additives. With our own production capacity and long-term customers as a backup, our quotes are stable—no price hikes just because the material is niche.

The five-step cooperation process: material submission, grading and evaluation, on-site pickup, payment deduction, settlement and invoice. That's how Old Xu handled the batch — he took photos and sent them, bidding B-513 at about 800 kilograms and C-102 at 400 kilograms. After we appraised and quoted the price, we arranged a time for on-site weighing. The recycling payment was directly deducted from his purchase of KANOLE plastic additives next month, totaling about 20,000 yuan. A row of barrels was cleared out from the raw materials room. Old Xu said, "If I had known this would happen, I would have handled it two years ago. Why bother holding it for so long?"
Additives aren't valuable because they can't be used up; leaving unused ones is a loss. Later, Old Xu told the workshop manager about this, and the supervisor immediately slapped his thigh—if only he had known this would happen, the batch of additives from two years ago should have been disposed of.
Currently, the recyclable MBS grades include Zhonghua Kane Ace B-513, B-521, M-511, Mitsubishi Chemical Metablen C-102, E-870A, S series, and other mainstream numbers; Dow Chemical, LG Chem, Shandong Rike, and other grades are based on physical appraisal. Formally, they collect: obsolete original packaging (both barrel and bagged materials are fine), modified formula leftovers, test samples, and inventory residues. Packaged separately in barrels and bags, with better grading prices.
Three common misconceptions, a reminder —
